This guide covers signing up as a teacher on Testkart and filling in the profile students see before they buy.

Signup page: testkart.in/teacher/signup. Profile editor: testkart.in/teacher/edit-profile.

Part A. Create your account

Step 1. Open the teacher signup

Go to testkart.in. Click Create Account in the top right. In the Sign Up as... window, choose I'm a Teacher. You can also open testkart.in/teacher/signup directly.

1 Create Account button on the homepage.

2 I'm a Teacher option in the Sign Up as... window.

Step 2. Choose how to sign up

The Create your teacher account page offers three methods: Continue with Google, Mobile OTP or Email OTP. Both OTP tabs ask for the same three fields: Full Name, Mobile Number and Email Address.

1 Continue with Google: sign up with your Google account.

2 Mobile OTP or Email OTP: choose where the one-time code is sent.

3 Complete the Verify you are human check when it appears.

4 Enter your Full Name, 10-digit Mobile Number and Email Address.

5 Click Send OTP, then enter the code you receive.

Step 3. Finish signup

After you verify the OTP, or sign in with Google, your account is created and you are taken into the teacher dashboard.

Already registered? Click Log In on the homepage and use the same method you signed up with: Google, mobile or email.

Part B. Set up your profile

Profile strength counts 10 items. Fill in the first 5 before you publish anything. They are all in Basic information and they are what students see first. Do the other 5 later.

ESSENTIALS (Steps 5 and 6)

  • Add a profile photo

  • Set your display name (at least 2 characters)

  • Claim your profile URL

  • Write a tagline (up to 150 characters)

  • Write an About section (at least 40 characters)

ADD LATER (Steps 7 and 9)

  • Add your location

  • List the languages you teach in

  • List your expertise areas

  • Link a website or one social profile

  • Add an award or certificate

Optional extras: Work experience (Step 8) and Exam focus (Step 10) do not count toward Profile strength.

Step 4. Open your profile

On the Dashboard, the Complete your profile card shows your completion percentage and the items still missing. Click Finish profile. You can also open Profile from the left sidebar, under Management.

1 Complete your profile card with the items still to add.

2 Finish profile button.

Step 5. Fill in Basic information (ESSENTIAL)

1 The profile has five sections: Basic information, Details & links, Work experience, Awards & certificates, Exam focus.

2 Profile photo: JPG or PNG, up to 1 MB. Square images look best, at least 400 x 400 pixels. You can crop it after choosing.

3 Display Name is how students see your name. Academy Name is the institute, school or academy you teach under. Students also see it on your tests and courses. Leave it blank if you teach on your own.

4 Profile URL Slug sets your permanent page address: testkart.in/expert/your-slug. Choose carefully, because changing it may affect your SEO.

5 Profile strength shows how many of 10 items are done and what to do next. Click Go to that section to jump there. The checklist at the start of Part B lists all 10.

Step 6. Add a tagline and About text, then save (ESSENTIAL)

1 Tagline: a short line on what you offer students, up to 150 characters.

2 About: a brief description of you and your teaching experience. Write at least 40 characters, or it will not count toward Profile strength.

3 Click Save changes. Changes go live on your public page as soon as you save.

1 Website URL: your personal or academy website.

2 Location: where you are based. It helps students find local teachers.

3 Languages: the languages you teach in, comma separated (for example Hindi, English, Marathi).

4 Expertise Areas: comma separated (for example Mathematics, Physics, JEE).

5 Social links: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. Click Save changes at the bottom of the section.

Step 8. Add Work experience (optional extra)

Click Add Work Experience to open the form. Each entry saves on its own, one at a time.

1 Position, Company / School Name, Location, Start Date and End Date. Tick I am currently working in this role if it still applies.

2 Description: your responsibilities and achievements.

3 Click Save to add the entry.

Step 9. Add Awards & certificates (add later)

1 Click Add Award/Certificate, then fill in the Title and a brief Description.

2 Click Save changes.

Step 10. Set your Exam focus (optional extra)

1 Pick up to 5 exams you prepare students for.

2 Search for any exam that is not in the list.

3 Click Save exams.

4 Exam focus is private. It is not shown on your public page.

Step 11. Check your public page

1 Preview shows your saved profile the way students see it.

2 Copy link to share your page, or Open live page to view it.

3 Your public page address.
