Testkart gives teachers an optional paid subscription that reduces the platform fee on their sales and adds tools the free account doesn't carry. This guide covers what the subscription actually changes, what the plans cost, and how to subscribe, pay and manage the plan once it's running.

What Is a Testkart Subscription?

A Testkart subscription is a paid add-on to your free teacher account. It affects the terms you sell under, not the range of what you're allowed to sell. The platform fee Testkart takes from each sale drops, and paid plans include tools the free tier doesn't, among them AI-powered ones.

You can run everything on the free account, with all core features. Or you can pay to keep more of what you earn.

What Happens When You Take a Subscription.

When you subscribe to a paid plan, your account changes in a few concrete ways:

  • Your platform fee drops. For example, teachers on the Starter plan pay a 25% platform fee on sales, shown clearly on their subscription page.

  • You may get a verified badge. The Starter plan is described as helping teachers "get verified," which can build trust with students browsing your test series, courses, or notes.

  • You unlock additional tools. Paid plans mention AI-powered and advanced tools that go beyond what's available on the free plan.

  • Your subscription renews automatically on a set date each month or year, shown clearly on your subscription page, until you choose to cancel it.

How Many Subscription Plans Does Testkart Have?

Testkart currently offers three plans, shown side by side on the "Choose Your Plan" page:

1. Free Plan

The entry-level option  no cost, and described as including "all core features" needed to start creating and selling on Testkart.

₹299/month, marked "Recommended." Built around getting teachers verified and opening up AI-powered tools. Starter subscribers pay a 25% platform fee on sales.

3. Individual Plan (Best Value)

Priced at ₹999/month, marked as the "Best Value" option. This plan is aimed at "growing educators," offering lower platform fees and more advanced tools than the Starter plan.

Note: the exact platform fee percentage for the Free and Individual plans, along with the full feature list under each plan, isn't confirmed here yet  worth adding once you have the complete pricing card screenshots.

Benefits of Each Plan

Plan Name

Best For

Key Benefits

Free Plan

New teachers, individual tutors launching their first online course, or educators testing the platform.

Zero upfront investment, access to basic test creation tools, student enrollment tracking, and access to standard question templates. Lets you test the workflow and land your first paying students with zero financial risk.

Starter Plan

Established educators, subject experts running regular batches, and growing coaching institutes.

Unlocks advanced student analytics, AI-powered question generation, custom branding options, and expanded storage for PDFs, videos, and large question banks.

Individual Plan

Large academies, multi-teacher institutes, and high-volume exam preparation platforms.

Full access to high-capacity live tests, priority customer support, dedicated account managers, zero commission fees on course sales, and deep student data analytics.

Which Plan Is Best for a New Teacher?

If you're brand new to Testkart, the Free plan is the natural starting point. It has zero financial risk, includes all the core tools needed to publish your first test series or notes, and lets you test whether teaching on Testkart works for you before spending anything.

Once you've made some sales and want to reduce how much of your revenue goes to platform fees  or want the credibility boost of a verified badge and access to AI tools  upgrading to the Starter plan is the logical next step, which is likely why Testkart marks it as "Recommended."

Who Should Stick with the Free Plan?

The Free plan makes the most sense for:

  • Teachers who are just starting out and want to test the platform before investing money

  • Teachers with low or occasional sales volume, where a lower platform fee wouldn't yet offset a monthly subscription cost

  • Teachers who don't yet need AI-powered tools or a verified badge

There's no pressure to upgrade immediately  the Free plan is a genuine long-term option, not just a trial.

The Benefit of AI Features for Subscribed Teachers

Subscribing unlocks Testkart's AI-powered tools  the same kind of AI assistance used throughout the platform to generate test titles, descriptions, question explanations, and bundle content automatically. For a teacher managing multiple test series, courses, and notes, this can meaningfully cut down the time spent writing and formatting content by hand, letting you focus more on the actual teaching material and less on the administrative side of publishing.

Monthly vs. Yearly Billing

On the "Choose Your Plan" page, you can toggle between Monthly and Yearly billing. Choosing Yearly comes with 2 months free, making it the better value if you're confident you'll stick with a paid plan long-term.

Paying With Your Wallet Balance

If you already have earnings sitting in your Testkart wallet, you can toggle "Use wallet balance for subscription" to pay for your plan directly from that balance instead of a separate payment method.

How to Subscribe to a Plan

  1. From the sidebar, under Management, click Subscription.

  2. On the Choose Your Plan page, select Monthly or Yearly billing.

  3. If you want to pay using your existing earnings, turn on Use wallet balance for subscription.

  4. Compare the Free, Starter, and Individual plans, and choose the one that fits where your teaching business is right now.

  5. Confirm your selection to activate the plan.

Managing Your Active Subscription

Once subscribed, your Subscription page shows a Current Subscription card with:

  • Your plan name (for example, "Starter Plan") and its price

  • An Active status badge

  • Your current Platform Fee percentage

  • The date your subscription Renews On

A Cancel Subscription button, if you decide to stop your plan
