brachial plexus scheme

Brachial plexus: A network of nerves formed by the anterior rami of C5–T1 spinal nerves. It supplies motor and sensory innervation to the shoulder, arm, forearm, and hand through roots, trunks, divisions, cords, and terminal branches.

Description

The brachial plexus is a complex network of nerves originating from the spinal cord (cervical nerves C5 through T1) in the neck. It controls movement and sensation in the shoulder, arm, and hand. Damage to this network, often from trauma or difficult deliveries, can cause arm weakness, numbness, or paralysis.
