Bank of Baroda Apprentice 2026: Eligibility Guide
Bank of Baroda Apprentice eligibility guide should match the exact recruitment project you are preparing for. This guide uses BOB/HRM/APPRENTICE/ADVT/2026/01, with eligibility reckoned on 1 May 2026. Apprenticeship is a training engagement; clearing its selection process does not make a candidate a permanent bank employee. Before planning classes, tests or revision, check that your age, graduation date and apprenticeship history fit the notification.
The pages in this cluster explain the official selection framework and give a practical study plan around it. Topic-level preparation suggestions are labelled as guidance where the bank names only broad test areas. The application window for the reviewed project is closed. Future dates, seats and rules are not inferred from this cycle, and the official recruitment page remains the place to check later notices.

Age relaxation and evidence
Do not calculate age from the day you fill the form. Use the notification reference date and the applicable category provision. SC/ST candidates have five years of upper-age relaxation, OBC non-creamy-layer candidates three years, and PwBD candidates ten years under the reviewed schemes. General/EWS candidates should not assume an additional age concession just because a reserved seat category exists.
A relaxation claim needs the prescribed certificate and the relevant eligibility conditions. Do not automatically add every concession in a table. Check the notification wording on combinations, certificate validity and the category you selected. If your date of birth is close to a boundary, compare it directly with the notification rather than using a rounded age from an online calculator.
For BOB, NAPS candidates must also be below 34 years on 1 May 2026, including the applicable relaxation. NATS candidates must satisfy the four-year graduation-recency condition. These portal-related conditions are additional to the headline graduate qualification; registering on a portal does not by itself make someone eligible.
Previous apprenticeship and experience restrictions
The reviewed schemes exclude candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship, are pursuing it, or were terminated during apprenticeship because of their own fault. They also exclude candidates with training or job experience of one year or more after completing the educational qualification. Read the exact declaration before applying; do not hide an earlier engagement because it was with a different establishment.
Make a timeline from your graduation result date through every training or employment period. Write the start and end dates beside the supporting record. If you have several short engagements or a situation the notice does not clearly resolve, ask the official recruitment help channel rather than treating a coaching answer as permission. Retain any written clarification with the application record.
Documents to organise early
Build a folder that follows the notification rather than a social-media checklist. Keep your application and acknowledgement, date-of-birth proof, identity proof, graduation marksheets and result evidence, category documents where claimed, and local-language evidence together. Bring originals and the copies specified in the reporting instructions. A selection list is provisional until the bank completes its checks.
Check | What to compare |
|---|---|
Name | Application, identity document and educational certificates |
Birth date | School certificate and application record |
Qualification date | Result declaration evidence and the project eligibility date |
Category claim | Prescribed certificate format, validity and eligibility |
Language exemption | Class 10/12 certificate and the language opted |
Portal record | NATS/NAPS enrollment and final application acknowledgement |
Check document readability before the reporting day. A file that looks clear as a thumbnail may hide a seal, date or subject name at full size. Keep a separate list of discrepancies so you can ask a precise question through the official help channel. Do not alter a certificate to make it match an application. Follow the bank’s directions for genuine corrections and supporting evidence.
Local-language requirement
Candidates need proficiency in the specified language of the state selected. The reviewed 2026 scheme exempts candidates who can produce a Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet or certificate showing that they studied the opted local language. Other candidates must qualify the language test. This is a separate condition: a strong written score or academic percentage does not remove it.
For preparation, read a short public-service notice aloud, explain its meaning, write a simple request and answer questions in the language. These are suggested practice activities, not a published official question set. Match the language name in the notification with the subject on your certificate. If the wording differs, seek clarification through the official recruitment channel before relying on exemption.
Check the whole application before relying on one condition
An age match does not override a graduation-date restriction, an experience exclusion or a local-language condition. Work through the checklist as a complete set and retain the supporting evidence. Use the official help channel for a genuinely unclear case; a practice provider cannot approve eligibility.
The exam overview summarises the reviewed application window and stipend. The selection-pattern page shows how eligible candidates are ranked. On Testkart, choose optional learning resources only after checking that the official engagement conditions fit your situation.
Read qualification dates correctly
A qualification name and a qualification date are separate checks. Start from the university or institution’s evidence that the result was declared, not the date on which you happened to collect a certificate. If the result date and certificate-issue date differ, keep both records. Do not substitute one date for the other without reading the notification and, where necessary, asking the bank for clarification.
For example, a candidate may have received a printed degree much later than the final result. The printed issue date alone does not explain when the degree was passed. Conversely, appearing in the final examination before the eligibility date does not establish that the qualification was completed by that date. Keep a result notification or another valid institutional record showing the relevant completion date.
Separate degree eligibility from academic ranking
Read each academic condition according to its purpose. A graduate qualification can be mandatory even when a different examination percentage is used to rank candidates. Do not replace one with the other. For this online-examination scheme, a graduate qualification does not exempt you from the selection test or its qualifying conditions. Do not add a minimum graduation percentage unless the applicable notification actually states one.
If your qualification is described as equivalent, check whether the equivalence is recognised in the way the notification requires. A course provider’s description is not enough. Keep the official recognition or equivalence evidence where relevant. For a grade-based result, use the institution’s authorised conversion method instead of applying a formula found on an unrelated college website.
Complete a two-pass eligibility review
In the first pass, check each condition and record the document supporting it. In the second, compare those documents with the application fields exactly as submitted. This catches a different class of problem: someone may be eligible in principle but have entered an incorrect percentage, date or category. A practice score does not repair that discrepancy.
Use three status labels in your private checklist: verified, evidence missing and clarification required. Do not mark a condition verified just because the form accepted an entry. Online registration can be provisional. Resolve missing evidence early, and direct any unclear interpretation to the official channel with the project number and a precise question. Avoid sharing identity documents in public discussion groups.
Plan for the reporting stage
Keep the latest reporting instructions with the original advertisement. Later notices may specify the location, date, document order or additional forms. Check whether the notice addresses your project and your selection status before arranging travel. A previous cycle’s document-verification experience can suggest what to organise, but it does not replace the bank’s current instructions.
Official sources and cycle check
This guide uses BOB/HRM/APPRENTICE/ADVT/2026/01. Recheck the official recruitment project page for corrigenda and subsequent notices. The detailed advertisement controls the rules if a preparation resource differs. Dates and rules on this page belong to the labelled cycle; they are not a forecast for the next recruitment.
