MPESB Nursing Officer Syllabus 2026: Topic-Wise Guide
The MPESB Nursing Officer syllabus has two parts: a 25-mark general section and a 75-mark nursing section based on the B.Sc Nursing course. Knowing how the topics are weighted helps you decide where your first few weeks go.
MPESB names the subject areas in its notification but, in the sources we could verify, does not publish a topic-wise syllabus. The lists below are built from the reported subject areas and the standard B.Sc Nursing curriculum. Use them as a working checklist, not as an official list, and compare with the notification on esb.mp.gov.in.
Table of Contents
Syllabus at a glance
Section | Questions | Marks | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
General (GK, Hindi, English, Maths, Science, Aptitude) | 25 | 25 | School and everyday level |
Nursing subjects | 75 | 75 | B.Sc Nursing level |
Key points to know
Nursing carries the weight: 75 of 100 marks come from nursing subjects, so most study hours belong here.
Degree-level difficulty: Questions are reported to follow the B.Sc Nursing syllabus, so diploma-only preparation may fall short.
No official topic list: Do not rely on any site that claims a final MPESB topic list without a notification reference.
General section syllabus
Subject | Topics to cover | Start with |
|---|---|---|
General knowledge | Current affairs, Madhya Pradesh geography, history and culture, polity basics, health schemes and national health programmes | Madhya Pradesh facts and last 6 months of current affairs |
General Hindi | Grammar, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms, comprehension | Grammar rules and comprehension practice |
General English | Grammar, vocabulary, error spotting, comprehension | Tenses, articles and prepositions |
Mathematics | Percentages, ratio, average, simple interest, basic arithmetic | Percentages and ratio |
Science | Basic physics, chemistry and biology, human body, nutrition | Biology and health-related science |
Aptitude | Reasoning, series, coding-decoding, data interpretation basics | Series and coding-decoding |
With only 25 marks at stake, a daily 30-minute routine is enough for most candidates. Spend extra time on Madhya Pradesh GK, which tends to be the easiest place to gain marks.
