Total marks and duration differ by level, for example 120 marks in 2 hours for Level 2 to 5 CBT posts and 150 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes for most Level 6 posts. See the NCERT non teaching exam pattern page for the post-wise table.

How to Prepare

Start with Section A, because it is common to almost every CBT post and carries sectional qualifying marks. Spend the first weeks on English grammar and comprehension, then add general awareness and 30 to 40 minutes of current affairs every day. Move to the Section B topics of your post once the basics are steady.

  • Choose one post family: Clerk, lab, store, accounts or media posts need different Section B preparation.

  • Protect your sectional marks: A strong Section B cannot make up for missing the minimum in Section A.

  • Practise typing early: Clerk candidates must clear a computer typing test after the CBT.

  • Review wrong answers: With one-fourth negative marking, avoid blind guesses and keep an error log.

For timed practice, you can use NCERT non teaching study notes on Testkart and attempt online practice tests for English, reasoning and current affairs. Pair them with the section-wise analysis to plan your revision.

Cut-off Reference

NCERT declares final cut-offs after results, and for this advertisement a cut-off notice had not appeared on the official vacancies page at the time of writing. Earlier NCERT notices show cut-offs such as 115.283 for an unreserved Junior Accountant and 53.00 for an unreserved Lab Assistant, but these belong to an earlier recruitment and used that cycle's scheme. Treat them as a benchmark only. The NCERT non teaching cut off page has the full table.
