RPF Constable Cut-off: Previous Year Marks and Target Score

The RPF Constable cut-off is the minimum score needed to reach the final panel. It varies by category and gender, and it changes with every cycle. This page gives the final cut-offs reported for CEN RPF 02/2024, explains what they mean, and shows how to set a realistic target for your own preparation.

Cut-offs are benchmarks, not predictions. The next cycle will have its own vacancies, difficulty and number of applicants, and recruitment is expected to move to the SSC procedure under the 2025 amended rules.

Qualifying marks versus cut-off

Two different numbers are often mixed up. Qualifying marks are the minimum percentage to be considered at all: 35 percent for UR, EWS and OBC and 30 percent for SC and ST in the last cycle. The cut-off is the score of the last selected candidate in a category, and it is far higher.

Final cut-off, CEN RPF 02/2024

The final panel and cut-offs were declared on 16 February 2026. The marks below are normalised scores on a scale of 100, as reported by multiple news and education websites. Small differences exist between reports in the later decimals, so the values are rounded. The final cut-off PDF on the regional RRB websites is the official reference.

These are final cut-offs after all stages. We did not find a separate CBT cut-off that could be verified. The figures are indicative, not official, so verify them in the official result documents before relying on them.

What affects the cut-off

  • Number of vacancies: More vacancies in a category usually lower the cut-off for that category. The last cycle had 4,208 Constable (Executive) vacancies.

  • Difficulty of the paper: Tests held in many shifts use normalisation, so raw marks and normalised marks can differ.

  • Number of applicants: A large pool of applicants raises competition for every seat.

  • Reservation and gender: Cut-offs are prepared category-wise and separately for men and women.

  • Physical stages: Candidates who fail the qualifying stages drop out, which affects who reaches the final merit.

How to set your target

  1. Start from the benchmark: Look at the last cut-off for your category and add a margin of 5 to 8 marks, so that a harder paper or fewer vacancies does not push you out.

  2. Remember normalisation: Normalised marks are not the same as raw marks, so use mock scores as a trend and not as an exact prediction.

  3. Track accuracy: Aim for high accuracy in mock tests, because every wrong answer removes about 0.33 marks.

  4. Watch sectional balance: A weak General Awareness score is hard to recover from, since it carries 50 marks.
