What you will learn in this guide. This guide covers what to do after your test series is already created, how to edit its details, take it back to draft status, or delete it. If you haven't created a test series yet, this isn't the right starting point. Head to How to Create a Test Series first, then come back here once you're managing an existing one.

Who this is for. Any teacher who already has a test series  published or in draft sitting in their Test Series section and needs to make a change to it.

In this article:

  • Edit a Test Series

  • Unpublish (Convert to Draft) a Test Series

  • Delete a Test Series

  • Frequently Asked Questions

Introduction

Say you published a mock test series a while back, and you've since spotted a wrong answer key, want to update the price, or need to add more questions before the next exam cycle. Or maybe you're pulling a series down temporarily while you rework it. Or you built a test series while exploring the platform and just want it gone.

Each of these is a different action on Testkart  editing, converting to draft (unpublishing), or deleting  and each works a little differently. Here's exactly how each one works.

Edit a Test Series

Use this any time you need to change something in an existing test series: the title, price, duration, description, or the questions themselves. This works whether the series is currently in Draft or already Published.

  1. Go to the Test Series in the sidebar.

  2. Find your test series card and click Edit.

Go to Test Series and open the Draft tab to find the test series you want to publish
  1. This takes you into the Manage Test Items screen, where you can add test items, edit existing ones, or click through to update your questions and subjects.

Manage Test Items and Review Your Test Series on Testkart
  1. Make whatever changes you need to the title, price, duration, description, or questions.

  2. Click Next: Review to move to the review step.

  3. On the review page, confirm your changes, then click Save Changes.

  4. If the series was already published, your edits apply directly. If it was still in draft, continue through to Publish when you're ready to make it live.

Unpublish (Convert to Draft) a Test Series

Use this when you want to temporarily pull a published test series off the platform without deleting it, for example, pausing new purchases while you make bigger changes.

  1. Go to Test Series in the sidebar and open the Published tab.

  2. Find your test series card. Along with Edit, you'll see a Convert to Draft button.

Go to the Published tab, select the test series you want to unpublish, and click Convert to Draft.
  1. Click Convert to Draft. This moves the series back to your Draft tab, taking it off the platform until you publish it again.

Delete a Test Series

Use this once a series is no longer needed. On Testkart, you can only delete a series that's in Draft, so if it's currently published, convert it to draft first using the steps above.

  1. Go to Test Series in the sidebar and open the Draft tab.

  2. Find your test series card and click Delete.

Click the Delete option for the test series you want to remove, then select Move to Trash to confirm
  1. A confirmation window appears: "Move to Trash  Are you sure you want to move the draft test [series name] to trash? It will be automatically deleted after 30 days if not restored."

  2. Click Move to Trash to confirm, or Cancel to back out.

Note: Deleting doesn't remove your test series immediately or permanently. It moves to your Trash, where it stays recoverable for 30 days before being permanently deleted. If you change your mind, you can restore it from Trash within that window.

If your test series has enrolled students, you won't be able to delete it directly and convert it to draft first (see above), and only series with no active enrollment can be deleted this way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to unpublish my mock test series before I can edit it?
No. You can edit a mock test series whether it's published or still in draft.

If I convert my mock test series to draft, do enrolled students lose access?
No, If your mock test series already has enrolled students then they can access your content even if the teacher unpublished it.

Can I delete a published test series?
If a published test series has enrolled students then it can’t be deleted but if it has no enrolled students, then an educator can permanently delete it.

If I delete a test series, is it gone forever right away?
No. It moves to Trash first, where it stays recoverable for 30 days. It's only permanently deleted if you don't restore it within that window.

Can I get a deleted test series back?
Yes, as long as it's still within the 30-day window in Trash, you can restore it from there.

What's the difference between converting to draft and deleting?
Converting to draft hides the mock test series or any products from new buyers while keeping your content saved, whereas deleting removes it permanently.
