CISF Constable Cut Off: GD and Tradesmen Marks

The CISF Constable cut off depends on the route. Constable (General Duty) candidates are shortlisted through the SSC GD Constable Examination, where cut-offs are released state-wise, gender-wise and category-wise. Constable (Tradesmen) candidates face a CISF written exam that is still pending in the current cycle, so no merit cut-off has been published yet.

Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

SSC GD 2026 Shortlisting Cut-offs

The result was declared on 12 October 2026, and revised category-wise lists followed on 23 October 2026 without changing the cut-offs. Of about 21.57 lakh candidates who appeared, 1,97,408 were shortlisted for PET and PST. The cut-offs are not specific to CISF, because SSC releases them by state or Union Territory, gender and category for all forces together. The sample below shows UR (General area) cut-offs as reported from the official result annexures.

These figures are rounded and reported by third parties, so use the official SSC annexures for exact values for your state, area and category. The big gap between states shows why your state matters as much as your score.

Constable/Tradesmen Cut-off

The Tradesmen written exam is tentatively scheduled for 1 December 2026, so no merit cut-off exists yet for this cycle. Published summaries of the notification mention minimum qualifying marks of 35 per cent for UR, EWS and ex-servicemen, and 33 per cent for SC, ST and OBC. These are indicative. The final merit depends on written marks among candidates who also clear the physical stages and the trade test.

What Affects the Cut-off

  • Paper difficulty: A harder paper lowers the cut-off, and an easier one raises it.

  • Vacancies: More posts in your state or category usually mean a lower cut-off.

  • Number of applicants: A higher number of candidates in a state raises competition.

  • Category and region: Border and difficult areas often have lower cut-offs than general areas.

How to Set Your Target

  1. Find the cut-off for your state, gender and category in the latest official result.

  2. Set your mock target at least 10 to 15 marks above it, because the physical stages can still remove candidates.

  3. Track accuracy and attempts in every section instead of watching only the total.

  4. Practise full papers on a timer and review each result the same day.
