Delhi Police Constable Cut Off: Last Cycle Marks and Trends
The Delhi Police Constable cut-off is the score of the last candidate shortlisted for the physical stage in each category. It tells you how high the competition went in the last cycle, and it is the best guide for setting a realistic target. The figures here come from the SSC result notice for the Constable (Executive) Male and Female in Delhi Police Examination 2025, dated 19 June 2026.
Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants, and the next cycle had not been notified on 22 October 2026. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.
How SSC reports the cut-off
SSC lists the cut-off as the total marks of the last shortlisted candidate in each category, out of 100, after normalisation across shifts. The shortlist is much larger than the number of vacancies, because shortlisted candidates must still clear the physical, document and medical stages. SSC also notes that some reserved-category candidates were shortlisted at the unreserved standard. The minimum qualifying marks were 35 for UR, 30 for SC, ST, OBC and EWS, and 25 for ex-servicemen, but the cut-offs were far higher for most categories.
Male cut-off (Constable Executive, Open)
Category | Vacancy (at result) | Cut-off marks (out of 100) |
|---|---|---|
UR | 1,733 | 70.05 |
EWS | 434 | 68.55 |
OBC | 956 | 70.05 |
SC | 729 | 62.84 |
ST | 337 | 60.08 |
Female cut-off (Constable Executive)
Category | Vacancy (at result) | Cut-off marks (out of 100) |
|---|---|---|
UR | 948 | 63.53 |
EWS | 238 | 61.56 |
OBC | 525 | 63.06 |
SC | 457 | 54.60 |
ST | 208 | 49.07 |
Ex-servicemen cut-off (male)
Category | Others: cut-off | Commando: cut-off |
|---|---|---|
UR | 28.80 | 25.00 |
OBC | 28.80 | 25.00 |
EWS, SC and ST | 25.00 | 25.00 |
In most ex-servicemen lists the cut-off is the minimum qualifying mark of 25, which means the shortlist ran down to the qualifying floor.
What the numbers tell you
Male UR and OBC were close to 70: A male general candidate needed roughly 70 out of 100 to be shortlisted, which means about 75 or more correct answers with few wrong attempts.
Female cut-offs were lower: The UR female cut-off was around 63.5, because the pool and vacancies differ from the male list.
Reserved categories sat lower: In the male Open list, SC was about 7 marks and ST about 10 marks below UR. In the female list, ST was about 14 marks below UR.
Cut-off is not the minimum: The qualifying marks of 25 to 35 are only a floor.
What affects the cut-off
Paper difficulty: A harder paper lowers scores for everyone, and so lowers the cut-off.
Vacancies: More vacancies mean a lower cut-off. The 2025 vacancies were revised to 7,201 in February 2026.
Number of applicants: More competition pushes the cut-off up.
Normalisation: Marks from different shifts are adjusted, so your raw score may not equal your normalised score.
How to set your target score
Start from your category: Take last year's cut-off and add a margin of 8 to 10 marks.
Convert it to attempts: For a target of 80, plan about 85 attempts at 95 percent accuracy.
Set sectional goals: A sample split is 38 or more from General Knowledge, 20 from Reasoning, 12 from Maths and 8 from Computer.
Test it in mocks: Track your average over the last five full tests, not your best score.
The result notice is available on the Official SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in/.
