DSSSB ASO Cut Off: Previous Year and Qualifying Marks

The DSSSB ASO cut-off is the lowest score that gets a candidate in each category through to the next stage of Grade-II (GNCTDSS) recruitment. Because Tier I is used only for shortlisting, the Tier I cut-off decides who reaches Tier II, and the final selection is made on Tier II marks.

The cut-off for the 2026 cycle (Post Code 804/26) has not been released, as the Tier I exam window runs until 18 October 2026. Below are the minimum qualifying marks and DSSSB's most recent official Grade-II cut-off, so you can set a realistic target. Treat past figures as a benchmark only.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

UR and EWS

40%

OBC (Delhi)

35%

SC, ST and PwBD

30%

5% below their category, with a floor of 30%

These are DSSSB's standing minimums. Clearing them does not guarantee a Tier II call, because shortlisting is done on merit against the number of vacancies.

DSSSB ASO Previous Year Cut-off

The latest category-wise cut-off DSSSB has published for this post is the Tier I result of Post Code 81/17 (Advertisement No. 03/17), issued on 1 October 2019 for 266 vacancies.

DSSSB shortlisted about 10 candidates per vacancy that year. Separate cut-offs were also published for the PwBD sub-categories. EWS did not exist as a category then, so there is no past EWS benchmark.

What Will Shape the 2026 Cut-off

  • More vacancies: 617 posts against 266 in 2019 means a deeper shortlist, which tends to pull the cut-off down.

  • A larger pool: The special window for 2009 applicants added candidates competing for the same posts.

  • Paper difficulty and normalisation: With a month-long, multi-shift exam, scores are normalised across shifts, so raw scores from different days are not directly comparable.

  • Category split: EWS seats and the revised vacancy split after the corrigendum change the competition within each category.

How to Set Your Target

Do not aim for a bare pass. A sensible goal for UR candidates is a mock score comfortably above 146 out of 200, with no section left weak, since Hindi alone carries 40 marks. Reserved-category candidates can work back from their 2019 figure in the same way.

The official answer key, result and cut-off for Post Code 804/26 will be posted on the official DSSSB website.
