FCI Assistant Grade 3 Syllabus 2026: Phase 1 and Phase 2 Topics
FCI Assistant Grade 3 Syllabus: What You Need to Cover
The FCI Assistant Grade 3 syllabus has two layers. Every candidate prepares English, reasoning, numerical aptitude and general studies for Phase I and Phase II Paper I. Candidates for AG-III Accounts, Technical and Hindi also prepare a post-specific Paper II in Phase II.
FCI has not released a new Category III notification as of 11 October 2026, so this page follows the last official cycle, Advertisement No. 01/2022. FCI names the sections and question counts for Paper I but does not publish a topic-wise list for them. The topic lists below are built from the official notification and from questions asked in previous years. Use them as a working checklist, not as an official list. For Accounts and Technical, the notification does list subject headings, and those are shown as official.

General Studies grows in Phase II: It has 25 questions in Phase I but 45 in Phase II Paper I, split into History, Geography and Economy (25), General Science up to Class 10 (10), Current Affairs (5) and Computer Awareness (5).
Paper II is only for three streams: AG-III General and Depot candidates take Paper I alone in Phase II.
Technical candidates choose a group at application: Group A (Agriculture, Botany, Zoology) or Group B (Agriculture, Chemistry, Physics). The choice cannot be changed later.
No interview: Older pages may still mention an interview round for AG-III, so follow the official notification.
