What Good GATE Notes Should Include

Types of GATE Notes and When to Use Them
Topic-wise notes: Use them while learning a subject for the first time.
Short notes and formula sheets: Use them for quick revision once a subject is complete.
Handwritten notes: Useful if you like the way a teacher condenses a topic, but check that they are legible and current.
Previous year question notes: Use them to link each topic to the way GATE actually asks it.
General Aptitude and Engineering Mathematics notes: These cover marks common to most candidates: 15 marks of General Aptitude in every paper and 13 marks of Engineering Mathematics in most engineering papers.

How to Make Notes That You Will Actually Revise
Write after solving: Note only what you needed to look up or got wrong.
Keep one page per topic: If a topic needs more, split it into sub-topics.
Add a trigger question: End each page with one question you should be able to answer without looking.
Test them: Revise a subject from notes, then attempt a GATE 2027 mock test on it and update the notes with every mistake.
