HBBVS Class 9 Mock Test 2026-27: Online Practice Tests

Chapter-wise and full-length practice for the HBBVS Class 9 written round on 28 November 2026.

HBBVS mock tests help Class 9 students practise the written round in its real format: 100 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes, drawn mainly from Std 7, 8 and 9 science and general knowledge in science. Only the top 7.5 percent in each category reach the practical round, so speed and accuracy under time matter as much as knowing the syllabus.

How to Use Mock Tests

  1. Learn first, test next: Take chapter-wise tests as you complete the Std 9 textbook, so weak chapters show up early.

  2. Move to full-length tests: From early November, sit one 90-minute test a week at the 2:00 PM exam slot, without breaks.

  3. Analyse the same day: Sort mistakes into three groups: did not know, knew but slipped, and ran out of time. Each group needs a different fix.

  4. Keep an error log: Note the concept behind every wrong answer and revise the log every few days.

Benchmarks to Track

  • Score against your category cut-off: In 2025-26, Std 9 cut-offs ranged from 37 to 60 depending on region, medium and board. Aim for a steady margin above yours.

  • Accuracy: Raise the share of correct answers among those you attempt before pushing for more attempts.

  • Time: At about 54 seconds per question, check that you finish with 10 to 15 minutes left to review.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Taking tests without reviewing them: A test without analysis shows your score but not what to fix.

  • Skipping Std 7 and Std 8 questions: They make up about 30 percent of the paper together, so include them in every full-length test.

  • Practising untimed only: Untimed practice builds concepts, but only timed tests show whether you can finish 100 questions in 90 minutes.

  • Chasing one high score: A steady score across several tests is a better sign of readiness than a single good result.

Testkart's HBBVS Class 9 online mock tests are built for the written round, and some tests are free so you can try the level before going further. Check the language of each test series before you start, and Marathi-medium students can also practise with GBSTA's official papers in Marathi. Use the test analysis to find weak chapters.
