Eligibility in brief
Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in engineering in the relevant branch from a recognised university. The reported age band is 21 to 40 years, with relaxation for reserved categories as per Madhya Pradesh rules. Some sources mention a Madhya Pradesh domicile requirement, which is not confirmed here. Read the full conditions on our MPPSC AE eligibility page.
Selection process and exam pattern
Selection is through a written examination followed by an interview. Sources also mention document verification and a medical examination before appointment.

How to prepare
Start with your branch paper
Part B carries 300 of the 450 written marks, so your core engineering subjects deserve most of your time. Revise fundamentals first, then practise numerical problems under a timer.
Do not neglect Madhya Pradesh GK
Part A is worth 150 marks and is common to all branches. Many engineering candidates under-prepare it. Build short notes on state history, geography, economy and schemes, and add current affairs every month.
Practise in the exam format
With 150 questions in three hours, you have about 72 seconds per question on average. Timed mocks help you set a pace and decide which questions to skip. You can attempt MPPSC AE online tests on Testkart once they are available, and use the section-wise analysis to plan revision. Pair them with previous year papers to understand real difficulty.
Cut-off reference
Cut-offs change every cycle with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. We have not listed official figures here because none could be verified. Read how to set a target on our MPPSC AE cut-off page.
