Rajasthan Judicial Service Cut-Off: Previous Year Marks and Trend
The Rajasthan Judicial Service cut-off is the minimum score needed to move to the next stage. It works at two points: the Preliminary Examination, which decides who is called for the Main Examination, and the final merit list, which decides who is selected. This page gives the figures reported for the 2025 cycle, the most recent completed recruitment, and explains how to turn them into a practical target.
The High Court publishes cut-off marks in its result notices, not in a separate cut-off table. The figures below are as reported from the 2025 result notices, so verify them against the official PDFs before you quote them. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants, so aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

Cut-Off Trend
Year | General prelims cut-off (indicative) | Marks basis |
|---|---|---|
2021 | 72 | Out of 100 |
2024 | 73 | Out of 100 |
2025 | 78 | Out of 93 evaluated questions |
Earlier-year figures come from a single published analysis and are indicative. The direction is still useful: the General cut-off has stayed in the seventies, and the 2025 figure was achieved on a smaller base of questions, which makes it tougher in percentage terms.
What Affects the Cut-Off
Difficulty of the paper: A harder paper lowers raw scores and the cut-off with them.
Vacancies: The Main stage shortlists a limited multiple of the vacancies in each category, so the cut-off settles at the score of the last shortlisted candidate.
Applicants: More strong applicants push the cut-off up.
Question deletions: Deleted questions change the maximum marks, as happened in 2025.
How to Set Your Target
Start from the General figure: Aim for 80 or more out of 100 in timed practice, even if your category cut-off is lower.
Protect the language marks: Hindi and English make up 30 marks, and they are often where a few extra marks come from.
Plan beyond the prelims: The final cut-off depends on the Main Examination and the interview, so keep writing practice running alongside objective practice.
Use mocks as a benchmark: Take full-length tests under exam conditions and track your trend, not one score.
