RSSB Lab Technician Cut Off 2025: Category-wise Final Marks
The RSSB Lab Technician cut-off is the lowest written exam score, out of 450, at which candidates were finally selected in each category. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB, formerly RSMSSB) released separate final orders on 28 January 2026 for Contractual Lab Technician (RajMES) and Contractual Medical Lab Technician (NHM), both under Advertisement No. 01/2025.
The figures below are official, taken from those orders. Use them as a benchmark for your target score, not as a promise of what the next cycle will need.
Lab Technician (RajMES) Cut-off 2025
Final cut-off marks out of 450 for the non-scheduled area, against 304 posts.
Category | General | Female |

What the 2025 Figures Tell You
Medical Lab Technician needed more: The NHM post closed higher than the RajMES post in General, EWS, OBC and SC. Candidates chose a preference between the two, which pushed scores apart.
Around half marks for General: A General candidate needed roughly 50 percent of 450 for either post.
Several categories at the floor: MBC, ST and some scheduled-area cut-offs sat at or near the minimum qualifying mark of 40 percent (35 percent for SC and ST), and many posts in those areas stayed unfilled.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
The 2025 scheme required at least 40 percent marks, or 180 out of 450, to be eligible for appointment, with a 5 percent relaxation for SC and ST candidates. Scoring above this line makes you eligible, but only a score above your category cut-off leads to selection.
What Affects the Cut-off
Vacancies: More posts usually lower the cut-off, as seen when the Medical Lab Technician count rose to 464.
Paper difficulty: A tougher Part E pulls scores down across categories.
Applicants and preferences: More diploma holders applying, and the choice between the two posts, change the competition for each.
Eligibility at verification: Candidates found ineligible at document verification can leave posts unfilled and shift the final cut-off.
How to Set Your Target
Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass. A practical goal for a General candidate is 250 or more out of 450 in full-length mocks, with the margin adjusted for your own category.
Measure your score against these benchmarks on Testkart, where RSSB Lab Technician mock tests follow the 450-mark pattern with negative marking. Track your category target across several Testkart mocks rather than judging from one score.
