How to organise your notes

  • Short notes: One page per topic, in your own words, with an example for every rule.

  • Formula sheet: One sheet for Mathematics and Reasoning formulas that you can read in ten minutes.

  • Error log: A notebook where you write every mock-test mistake, the reason and the correct method.

  • Monthly current affairs: One compact page per month, grouped by theme such as appointments, awards, sports and schemes.

A simple revision schedule

  1. Same day: Re-read a topic note within 24 hours of learning it.

  2. Weekly: Revise the week's notes and the error log.

  3. Monthly: Revise formula sheets and static GK, then current affairs of that month.

  4. Last two weeks: Use only short notes, formula sheets and the error log, and keep taking mocks.

Reliable sources for your notes

Use standard NCERT-level books for history, geography, polity and science, and trusted newspapers or monthly summaries for current affairs. For official information about the exam, use the Staff Selection Commission website. Avoid copying notes from random sources without checking facts, since one wrong date or figure can cost marks.
