AP EAPCET Syllabus 2027: Subject-Wise Topics for MPC and BiPC

The AP EAPCET syllabus covers the Intermediate (Class 11 and 12) curriculum in five subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for the Engineering stream, and Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry for the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream. APSCHE publishes a separate syllabus PDF for each stream on the official AP EAPCET website before the exam.

This page is built for students preparing for AP EAPCET 2027. The 2027 syllabus PDF has not been released yet, so the unit lists below follow the official AP EAPCET 2026 syllabus, organised into tables with suggestions on where to start. Because the AP Intermediate Board has moved to an NCERT-based curriculum, the 2027 syllabus may change. Use this page as a working checklist and compare it with the official PDF once it is out.

Key Changes to Know for 2027

  • NCERT shift in AP Intermediate: The AP Board of Intermediate Education introduced an NCERT-based syllabus for first-year students in 2025-26 and for second-year students in 2026-27. The 2027 batch is the first to study both years under it.

  • Possible revision of the EAPCET syllabus: APSCHE has not announced any change yet. Topics that are no longer in the NCERT textbooks, such as communication systems or hyperbolic functions, could be dropped or kept. Do not skip them until the 2027 PDF confirms it.

  • Old-name pages: Many pages still list the syllabus under AP EAMCET and show older chapter lists. Follow the syllabus PDF for your exam year on the official website.

  • Depth notes in the PDF: Some biology topics are marked "brief account only" or "not to be evaluated". Read these notes in the official PDF so you do not over-prepare those sub-topics.

AP EAPCET Mathematics Syllabus

Mechanics is the largest block, followed by Electricity and Magnetism. Modern Physics chapters are short and formula-based, which makes them quick scoring areas in the final weeks of revision.

AP EAPCET Chemistry Syllabus

Chemistry is also common to both streams, with 40 questions. The 26 chapters in the 2026 syllabus fall into three branches.

Physical Chemistry

  • Core chapters: Atomic structure, states of matter (gases and liquids), stoichiometry, thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium and acids and bases, solid state, solutions, electrochemistry and chemical kinetics, surface chemistry.

  • Start with: Stoichiometry and the mole concept, because they support numericals in almost every other chapter.

Inorganic Chemistry

  • Core chapters: Classification of elements and periodicity, chemical bonding and molecular structure, hydrogen and its compounds, s-block elements, p-block groups 13 and 14, p-block groups 15 to 18, d- and f-block elements and coordination compounds, general principles of metallurgy, environmental chemistry.

  • Start with: Chemical bonding and periodicity, since trends from these chapters explain most block-wise questions.

Organic Chemistry

  • Core chapters: Basic principles and hydrocarbons, haloalkanes and haloarenes, alcohols, phenols and ethers, aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids, organic nitrogen compounds, polymers, biomolecules, chemistry in everyday life.

  • Start with: Nomenclature, isomerism and reaction mechanisms, then move chapter by chapter through the functional groups.

Topics Beyond the JEE Main Syllabus

Many Engineering stream students prepare for JEE Main and AP EAPCET together. Most topics overlap, but the 2026 AP EAPCET syllabus still includes several topics that are not part of the current JEE Main syllabus. These are easy to miss if you study only from JEE material.

Subject

AP EAPCET topics outside current JEE Main

How to plan

Mathematics

Hyperbolic functions, partial fractions, mathematical induction, transformation of axes, system of circles, pole and polar

Study from the Intermediate textbook and practise 20 to 30 questions per topic

Physics

Communication systems, physical world

Short theory chapters; one revision of definitions and block diagrams is usually enough

Chemistry

Hydrogen and its compounds, s-block elements, surface chemistry, metallurgy, environmental chemistry, polymers, chemistry in everyday life

Mostly factual; make one-page notes and revise them weekly

The reverse also applies. JEE Main asks deeper, multi-step problems, while AP EAPCET gives you about 67 seconds per question. If JEE is your main target, add timed AP EAPCET practice in the last two months to build speed on direct questions.

Study Resources for the AP EAPCET Syllabus

Since the syllabus follows the Intermediate curriculum, your board textbooks are the base. Extra books help with practice, not with new content.

Common Mistakes While Covering the Syllabus

  • Studying only from JEE or NEET material: You may miss the state-specific topics listed in the previous section.

  • Leaving factual chapters for the end: Chapters like metallurgy, polymers and everyday chemistry are quick marks, but only if they are revised several times.

  • Ignoring first-year chapters: Roughly half the syllabus comes from first-year Intermediate, which many students revise only lightly.

  • Using an old syllabus list: Check that your notes match the PDF for your exam year, especially for 2027.

How to Cover the AP EAPCET Syllabus

A phased plan helps you finish the syllabus while also preparing for Intermediate board exams, which carry 25% weightage in the AP EAPCET rank.

  1. Weeks 1 to 8: Complete pending second-year chapters and revise first-year basics in parallel. In Mathematics, finish Calculus and Coordinate Geometry first. In Biology, finish Human Physiology and Plant Physiology.

  2. Weeks 9 to 14: Cover the topics outside JEE Main and the factual chemistry chapters listed above. Start topic-wise tests of 30 to 40 questions and maintain an error log.

  3. Board exam phase: Shift to board preparation. Keep a short daily slot for formula and fact revision so that speed does not drop.

  4. Final six to eight weeks: Take full-length 160-question tests in the computer-based format, two to three times a week. Analyse every test on the same day and revise your error log before the next one.

Download the latest syllabus PDF for your stream from the official AP EAPCET website as soon as the 2027 notification is released.
