Bihar SLET Study Notes 2026: Library Science and GK Notes

Bihar SLET study notes for all eight Library Science units and Bihar-focused General Knowledge.

The Library Science section of Bihar SLET follows the Library Science graduation syllabus of Bihar's recognised universities, and General Knowledge has a clear Bihar focus. That is a lot of material for a 150-question paper, which is why good Bihar SLET notes matter. They turn eight units of Library Science and a wide GK section into short sheets you can revise many times before exam day.

This page explains what your notes should cover, how to organise them, when to revise them and how to connect them with mock tests.

How to Organise Your Notes

  • Keep a key-terms glossary: Terms such as OPAC, notation, weeding and institutional repository often appear as direct questions. One line each is enough.

  • Write one-page unit summaries: If a unit needs more than a page or two, you are copying the textbook rather than summarising it.

  • Maintain an error log: Record every question you get wrong in a test, with the correct answer and the reason you missed it.

  • Separate static and current GK: Keep Bihar history and geography in one file and update current affairs monthly in another.

A Simple Revision Schedule

When

What to revise

Next day

The unit summary you wrote the day before

End of each week

All summaries from that week plus the error log

Final week

Glossary, Bihar fact file, current affairs sheets and error log only

Stop writing new notes about a week before your exam date. From then on, revise only what you already have. If you practise on Testkart, add the questions you miss in each mock to your error log so your notes keep up with your weak areas.

Sources to Build Notes From

  • Your graduation material: Since the syllabus follows graduation-level Library Science, your own university notes and standard LIS textbooks are the right base.

  • The official advertisement: Read the SLET 2026 advertisement for the exam scope, pattern and qualifying marks.

  • One GK source and one current affairs source: Revising two sources repeatedly works better than skimming many.
