CRPF Constable Cut Off: Previous Year Marks and 2026 Targets

The CRPF Constable cut-off is the lowest normalised CBT score that earned a place in the next stage for a given State/UT, trade, gender and category. For Technical & Tradesmen posts, the Central Reserve Police Force does not publish one national cut-off. It publishes hundreds of separate figures, because vacancies are allotted State/UT-wise and trade-wise.

The latest official figures are from the 2023 cycle, published on 22 January 2025. The 2026 cut-offs will come only after the 2026 CBT, which had not been scheduled as of 20 October 2026. Treat every figure below as a benchmark, not a forecast of the 2026 cut-off.

Previous year cut-off (2023 cycle)

CRPF published normalised CBT scores and cut-off marks for the 2023 recruitment of Constable (Technical & Tradesmen, Pioneer Wing and Ministerial Staff), with 84,132 candidates shortlisted for the further stages. All cut-offs are out of 100 marks. The table shows male cut-offs for two common trades in selected States, rounded to two decimals.

Your real benchmark is the exact figure for your State/UT, trade, gender and category, including EWS, ST and ex-servicemen columns, in the official 2023 cut-off list.

What the trend shows

Across all States, trades and categories, the 2023 cut-offs ran from 20 to about 89 marks. Testkart's reading of the official list, rounded and indicative only:

  • State matters as much as trade: Driver cut-offs sat near the qualifying minimum in many States but crossed 65 marks for UR in Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

  • Some trades ran high almost everywhere: Cook and Water Carrier, Safai Karamchari and Gardener often needed 50 marks or more.

  • Category gaps vary: In some States the UR and OBC lines were only a few marks apart, so do not assume a large category cushion.

What affects the cut-off

  • Vacancies: 2026 has 9,195 tentative vacancies, split by State/UT and trade. Fewer seats in your State and trade usually mean a higher cut-off.

  • Order of stages: In 2026, only candidates who clear the PET and PST sit the CBT. In 2023, the CBT came first. A smaller CBT pool could change the cut-offs, but nobody can predict by how much.

  • Paper difficulty and normalisation: Scores are normalised across shifts, so raw scores and final scores can differ.

  • Qualifying minimums: In 2026, no one moves ahead below 30% (UR), 25% (EWS, OBC) or 20% (other categories) for Technical & Tradesmen posts, or below 35% (UR) and 33% (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) for Pioneer posts.

How to set your target

Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

  1. Find your line: Look up the 2023 figure for your exact State/UT, trade, gender and category.

  2. Add a margin: Aim for 10 to 15 marks above it in your mock tests.

  3. Protect Parts A and B: Ties are broken on Reasoning and then GK marks, so keep both strong.

For Constable (GD) posts in CRPF, cut-offs come from the SSC Constable (GD) exam, out of 160 marks, and SSC publishes them on ssc.gov.in. They are not comparable with the figures above.
