CUET PG Cut-off: Previous Year Scores and Targets

There is no single CUET PG cut-off. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the test and publishes scores, but each participating university sets its own minimum scores by programme, college or department, category and admission round. A score that gets you into one programme may fall short for the same subject at another campus.

This page shows indicative previous-year figures from the University of Delhi PG admission rounds of 2025, as reported from the university's seat allocation data. They are for reference only. Use them to understand the range of scores out of 300 and to set a practice target for CUET PG 2027.

How CUET PG Cut-offs Work

  • Set by universities, not NTA: each university publishes minimum scores or merit ranks after its own allocation rounds.

  • Programme and college wise: the same programme can have different cut-offs at different colleges or departments.

  • Category wise: separate cut-offs apply to unreserved and reserved categories.

  • Round wise: cut-offs usually fall in later rounds as seats fill, though popular programmes may stay high.

These figures are indicative, taken from reported DU PG 2025 allocation data, and are not category-complete. Verify current figures on the university's official PG admission portal. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, seats and the number of applicants, so treat last year's figures as a benchmark only.

What Affects the CUET PG Cut-off

  • Paper difficulty: a harder paper pulls scores and cut-offs down for that subject.

  • Seats and applicants: programmes with few seats and many applicants, such as psychology and English at popular colleges, stay high.

  • Category and quota: reserved-category cut-offs are usually lower and are published separately.

  • Admission round: early rounds tend to be higher; spot rounds can drop sharply for less popular programmes.

  • Scoring rule: NTA said 2026 scores were absolute marks, but the bulletin also describes a percentile method for multi-shift papers. Check the 2027 rule before comparing years.

How to Set Your Target Score

  1. List three to five target programmes: note the paper code each one accepts and its previous cut-off in your category.

  2. Aim for a clear margin: target 15 to 20 marks above the last round 1 figure rather than a bare pass.

  3. Translate it into accuracy: for a 230 target, you need about 60 correct answers with few errors out of 75.

  4. Track it in mocks: your full-length mock scores in the final month are the best sign of whether you will reach the target.

Official score and result notices are on the CUET PG official website.
