JEE Main Paper 2 Study Notes 2027: B.Arch and B.Planning

Revision notes for Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing and Planning in JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B.

JEE Main Paper 2 study notes are the material you revise from in the final weeks before the B.Arch and B.Planning papers. Good notes are short, organised by the four parts of the exam (Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing and Planning) and built around the mistakes you actually make.

This page explains what to include for each part, how to organise your notes and how to fit revision around mock tests for the 2027 sessions. Testkart lists ready-made study notes for this exam below, which you can use alongside your own.

How to Organise Your Notes

  • Formula sheets: One page per Mathematics unit with every formula and one example.

  • Aptitude visual bank: Sketches of 3D objects with their plan, elevation and side views; these are faster to revise than text.

  • Error log: Every wrong or slow mock question with the reason and the correct method.

  • General awareness notes: Monthly notes on schemes and development issues if you are taking Paper 2B.

  • Drawing sketchbook: Date each practice drawing so you can see your progress and repeat weak themes.

Sample One-page Note Layout

  1. Heading: Unit or topic name and the paper it applies to (2A, 2B or both).

  2. Key points: Five to eight lines: formulas, definitions or rules you must recall in the exam.

  3. One worked example: A solved question that shows the method, with the shortcut marked.

  4. Trap list: Two or three mistakes you have made on this topic in mocks.

  5. Last revised: The date, so you can see which pages need another look.

Keeping every topic in this layout makes the last two weeks of revision quick, because each page takes only a few minutes to read.

Revision Schedule

  1. Daily: 15 minutes on formula sheets and 20 minutes of sketching.

  2. Weekly: Revise the error log and one Aptitude topic; Paper 2B aspirants revise one social science unit.

  3. Before each full mock: Read the formula sheets and the last week's error log.

  4. Final two weeks: Revise only from your notes and error log; avoid starting new material.
