MP Patwari Cut-off 2026: Qualifying Marks and Target Score
The MP Patwari cut-off is the score you need to make the merit list for Patwari posts in the recruitment conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB). Two numbers matter: the minimum qualifying marks set in the rule book, and the closing merit score at which the last post in your group and district is filled.
For the 2026 cycle, the result was awaited at the time of writing, and MPESB had not published a category-wise cut-off. Figures you see elsewhere for earlier years are mostly unofficial estimates. Treat any previous figure as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above it rather than a bare pass.
MP Patwari Minimum Qualifying Marks
Cycle | Rule | Out of 200 marks |
|---|---|---|
2026, Patwari special recruitment | At least 40% of total marks | 80 |
2026, other posts in the combined test (general rule) | 50% for unreserved, with up to 10% relaxation for reserved categories and persons with disabilities | 100 for unreserved, 80 for relaxed categories |
The 40% rule comes from the Patwari chapter of the 2026 rule book. Since all 200 Patwari posts are for persons with disabilities, 80 out of 200 is the practical minimum. Scoring 80 only makes you eligible for merit; it does not mean selection.
Previous MP Patwari Cut-off
The 2023 Patwari result was declared on 30 June 2023 and, after an inquiry, selection moved to district counselling in 2024. A consolidated category-wise cut-off table from MPESB could not be verified for that cycle or for earlier ones. Figures quoted on third-party pages for 2017 and 2023 are estimates, so they are not reproduced here.
The 2023 cycle is also a weak benchmark for 2026. It had thousands of Patwari posts open to all categories, while 2026 has 200 posts split by disability group and district. The competition and the closing scores will differ.
What Affects the MP Patwari Cut-off
Posts in your group and district: With 200 posts spread across districts and three disability groups, some districts have only one or two posts in a group.
Number of applicants: More applicants in a group push the closing score up.
Paper difficulty: A harder shift lowers raw scores across the board.
Multiple shifts: The 2026 exam ran over several days and shifts. If MPESB applies normalisation, final scores can differ from raw scores.
District preferences: Allotment follows merit and preferences, so a popular district closes higher than others.
How to Set Your MP Patwari Target Score
Clear the floor first: 80 out of 200 is the minimum. Do not plan around it.
Build a margin: Aim to score comfortably above the minimum in full-length mocks, since merit within a small pool is tight.
Avoid a weak part: A low score in either Part A or Part B drags the total down, so keep both parts balanced.
Track your mock trend: Look at the average of your last five mocks, not your highest single score.
