NABARD Development Assistant Cut-off: Previous Year State-wise Marks

The NABARD Development Assistant cut-off is the minimum score NABARD sets to shortlist candidates after the prelims and to select them after the mains. It is fixed state-wise and category-wise, and NABARD also applies sectional minimums, so you need to clear every section as well as the overall mark.

NABARD put up the 2026 marks and cut-offs in October 2026, as reported, but we could not read the figures in a verifiable form, so they are not reproduced here. The tables below use 2022 figures as a benchmark. They are indicative, compiled from published accounts of the official release; check the careers notices on the NABARD website for the official documents.

Cut-off Trend and What Affects It

In 2018, UR prelims cut-offs ranged from about 47 to 83 across states, close to the 2022 range at the top end. Mains cut-offs for UR in 2022 sat between roughly 110 and 120 out of 200 in the larger states listed above.

  • Vacancies per state: A state with one or two posts can have a very high or very low cut-off depending on who applies.

  • Paper difficulty: A tougher reasoning or quant section pulls the prelims cut-off down.

  • Applicants: More applicants for the same posts push the cut-off up.

  • Category split: A category with very few posts in a state may show an unusual figure.

How to Set Your Target Score

Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass. For a UR candidate in a large state, a prelims mock score consistently above the mid-80s and a mains score in the 120s out of 200 gives a reasonable safety margin on 2022 figures.
