Page 1 of 6 — 62 tests

NEET UG rewards students who can recall accurately and work fast under pressure. Reading NCERT and solving chapter questions builds knowledge, but only timed mock tests show whether you can use that knowledge in a 180-question, three-hour paper with negative marking. This page explains what a good NEET UG mock test looks like, how to use it, and how to learn from every attempt.

Types of mock tests to use

  • Chapter and unit tests: Use them right after finishing a topic to check basic understanding.

  • Subject-wise tests: Practise a full section of 45 questions in a fixed time.

  • Full-length mocks: Attempt the whole 180-question paper in 180 minutes to build stamina and a time plan.

  • Previous-year papers: Learn how NCERT lines and concepts are turned into questions.

How to attempt a mock test

  1. Sit at a fixed time, ideally 2 PM to 5 PM, to match the real exam.

  2. Do not pause the timer or use notes.

  3. Skip questions that need more than about 90 seconds, and return to them later.

  4. Guess only when you can eliminate at least one option, because each wrong answer costs 1 mark.

  5. Keep the last 10 minutes for checking.

How to analyse a mock test

The real learning begins after the test. Spend as much time reviewing as you did attempting.

  • Sort your mistakes: Concept gap, formula or fact forgotten, calculation slip, misreading, or time pressure.

  • Check section-wise accuracy and time: Find out where you lose minutes and marks.

  • Revisit weak units: Return to the NCERT line or concept and solve fresh questions on it.

  • Keep an error notebook: Revise it before the next mock.
