NIELIT CCC Passing Marks 2026: Grades and Target Score
NIELIT CCC has passing marks, not a cut-off. Because the Course on Computer Concepts is a certification exam rather than a recruitment exam, NIELIT does not rank candidates or fix a cut-off based on vacancies. Every candidate who scores at least 50 out of 100 passes and receives a certificate with a grade.
This page explains the CCC passing marks, the grade bands, why the pass mark does not change between cycles and how to set a target score that gives you a safe margin.

Why CCC Has No Ranked Cut-off
In recruitment exams, the cut-off moves each year with the number of vacancies, the number of candidates and the difficulty of the paper. CCC works differently:
No vacancies: There is no fixed number of passes, so other candidates' scores do not affect yours.
Fixed standard: The 50 percent pass mark and the grade bands stay the same from cycle to cycle.
No categories: There is no category-wise cut-off or relaxation in the pass mark.
Pages that show "CCC cut-off" figures by year or category are describing the pass mark, not a moving cut-off. Only the job that asks for CCC can add a condition, such as a minimum grade, so read that notification carefully.
How to Set Your Target Score
A fixed pass mark makes it easy to plan, but aiming for exactly 50 is risky. A few unfamiliar questions on the day can pull you below it.
Your goal | Target in full-length practice tests |
|---|---|
Pass safely | 65 or more in at least three tests in a row |
Grade B | About 75 |
Grade A | About 85 |
Grade S | 90 or more |
These targets are suggestions that build in a margin of about ten marks above each band. They are not official figures.
Attempt every question: With no negative marking, a blank is a lost mark.
Fix weak chapters first: A low score in office tools or the newer chapters such as digital finance and cyber security often decides whether you pass comfortably.
Test in real conditions: Practise with 100 questions in 90 minutes, without notes.
Checking Your Result and Grade
Results are published on the NIELIT student portal after each cycle ends. Passing candidates can then download a digitally signed e-certificate from NIELIT's certificate portal. If you get grade F, you can apply again in the next quarterly cycle with a fresh form and fee.Student portal (results): https://student.nielit.gov.in/
