Patna High Court Mock Test 2026: Online Practice Guide
Post-wise mock test practice for Technical Assistant, Computer Operator-cum-Typist and Ex-Cadre Assistant exams.
Patna High Court fills staff posts through separate recruitment exams, so a useful Patna High Court mock test has to match the post you are targeting. The Technical Assistant paper tests six computer science subjects. The Computer Operator-cum-Typist exam adds two typing tests. The Ex-Cadre Assistant exam is built around aptitude, language and computer skills. One generic test cannot prepare you for all three.
This page explains which tests to take, how to use them and what to measure. As of 8 October 2026 the court has not announced a Technical Assistant exam date, so there is time to build a routine. Pattern details come from the court's own advertisements.

How to use mock tests: four phases
Weeks 1 to 4, concepts: Take a short subject-wise test after each chapter. Start typing practice on day one.
Weeks 5 to 8, sections: Take one timed sectional test a day, and a Part A or preliminary-style mock once a week.
Weeks 9 to 12, full papers: Take two full mocks a week at the same hour as the real exam.
Final two weeks, revision: Take a full mock every second day and revise your error log in between.
How to analyse a mock test
Wrong answers: Sort each one as a concept gap, a careless slip or a misread question. Each type needs a different fix.
Slow questions: Mark every question that took longer than the average time the paper allows.
Skipped but solvable: Reattempt these without a timer. They are the cheapest marks to win back.
Typing errors: Group mistakes by type, such as spacing, punctuation, case, missed words and Hindi matras.
Benchmarks to track
Measure | What to aim for |
|---|---|
Time per question | About 36 seconds in Computer Operator Part A (50 questions in 30 minutes) and about 54 seconds in the Ex-Cadre Assistant written test (100 in 90 minutes) |
Typing accuracy | The qualifying minimums are 90 per cent in English and 85 per cent in Hindi. Practise above them for a safety margin |
Qualifying marks | Technical Assistant written: 80 of 200. Computer Operator Part A: 20 of 50. Ex-Cadre Assistant written: 40 of 100 |
Sectional balance | No section far behind the others |
Qualifying marks are the minimum you must clear, not a selection cut-off. Each stage shortlists a fixed multiple of the vacancies in merit order, and the court has not published cut-offs for the 2026 recruitments. Aim for a clear margin above the minimum.
Common mistakes
Wrong typing layout: The Hindi test uses the Remington Gail layout with the Mangal font. Practising on another layout costs accuracy.
Leaving questions blank in Part A: There is no negative marking there, so attempt all 50.
Guessing freely where marks are deducted: At 0.25 per wrong answer, skip questions where you cannot narrow the options.
Ignoring the preliminary test: Its marks do not count in merit, but it decides who moves ahead.
Taking tests without reviewing them: A mock only helps when you study your mistakes.
