Rajasthan 3rd Grade Teacher Cut-Off: Level 1 and Level 2 Marks

The Rajasthan 3rd Grade Teacher cut-off is the minimum score a candidate needs to be shortlisted for document verification. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) publishes it after the written exam, separately for each level, subject, category and area. This page shows the reported figures from the 2025-26 cycle and explains how to use them to set your own target.

The exam was held from 17 to 20 January 2026, and results with cut-off marks followed from late May to mid June 2026. The figures below are collected from published coverage of the official cut-off notices. We could not open the RSSB cut-off PDFs, so verify any number against the official file before you rely on it.

What the cut-off means for this exam

Marks are out of 300. A candidate who scores at or above the cut-off for their level, subject, category and area is shortlisted for document verification. Cut-offs are declared separately for non-tribal areas (NTSP) and Scheduled or tribal areas (TSP), and there are further lines for women, widows, divorcees, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities.

Reported cut-off marks, general category

The table gives the reported general-category cut-off out of 300 marks. The Level 1 general education and Level 2 Social Science figures match across more than one source. The others were found in one source each and need extra care.

The Maths and Science figures are listed against Level 1 in one source and appear to belong to the Level 2 paper, so check the official PDF for that row in particular.

Other categories

Cut-offs for other categories sit below the general figure. As an example, the reported Level 1 general education cut-offs in the non-tribal area were about 178.56 for OBC, 173.06 for EWS, 163.76 for SC and 150.50 for ST. The reported Level 2 Social Science figures were about 206.42 for OBC, 198.67 for EWS, 194.42 for SC and 190.00 for ST. Lines for women, widows, divorcees and special categories are in the official file.

How the cut-off has moved

An earlier cycle's general-category Level 1 cut-off was reported at about 186.92 in the non-tribal area and 162.07 in the tribal area, which is close to the 2025-26 figure of 185.70 and 161.01. Level 2 language cut-offs have varied more between cycles. One source lists an earlier Hindi cut-off of about 235 against 226 this cycle. Because earlier figures are not labelled consistently across sources, use them only to see the broad range.

What affects the cut-off

  • Difficulty of the paper: A harder subject paper pulls the cut-off down, and an easier one pushes it up.

  • Number of vacancies: Subjects with fewer posts, such as Level 2 Hindi, usually close at higher marks than subjects with many posts.

  • Number and quality of applicants: More strong candidates raise the cut-off for the same number of seats.

  • Reservation and area: Category, horizontal reservation and tribal or non-tribal area each have their own line.

  • Normalisation: Papers held on different dates and shifts may be adjusted before results, so a scorecard can show both raw and adjusted marks.

How to set your target score

Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

  1. Find your line: Note the cut-off for your level, subject, category and area from the table and the official file.

  2. Add a buffer: Aim for 15 to 20 marks above the closest reported figure, because the next paper can be easier.

  3. Convert to questions: At 2 marks a question with a one-third deduction, a score of 220 needs roughly 115 correct answers with very few errors.

  4. Track mocks against it: Take full-length papers and record your score trend, not one result.

Official result and cut-off notices are on the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board website under Candidate Corner and Results.
