Rajasthan CET Graduate Level Cut-off: Qualifying Marks Guide
The Rajasthan CET Graduate Level cut-off is not a competitive merit cut-off. The Common Eligibility Test (Graduate Level) conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) is a qualifying test, so the board fixes a minimum percentage instead of a rank-based score. Candidates who reach it can apply for the separate main exams of the posts covered by the CET.
This page sets out the official qualifying rule, the score data RSSB published for the 2024 cycle, and how to set a target that keeps you safe for the main exams that follow. Treat the 2024 figures as a benchmark only, because each cycle has a different paper and a different set of candidates.
Official Qualifying Marks
Under the CET advertisement, a candidate who scores less than 40 percent in the CET (Graduate Level) is not eligible to appear in the written exam or interview for any post covered by it.
Category | Minimum qualifying marks (CET Graduate Level 2026, out of 300) |
|---|---|
General, OBC, MBC and EWS | 40 percent (120 marks) |
SC and ST | Relaxation of up to 5 percent in the minimum marks (35 percent, or 105 marks, with the full relaxation) |
The advertisement also includes a 5 percent relaxation for ex-servicemen and for persons with disabilities where minimum qualifying marks are prescribed. Check how it applies to your category in the official CET Graduate Level 2026 advertisement.
Previous Cycle Score Data
RSSB does not publish a category-wise cut-off for the CET, because the qualifying percentage decides who passes. It did publish normalisation statistics with the CET (Graduate Level) 2024 result on 12 February 2025, for the exam held in four shifts on 27 and 28 September 2024.
CET Graduate Level 2024 shift | Mean raw score (out of 300) | Standard deviation |
|---|---|---|
27 September 2024, morning | 147.87 | 35.69 |
27 September 2024, evening | 139.09 | 34.72 |
28 September 2024, morning | 129.03 | 31.20 |
28 September 2024, evening | 142.86 | 34.52 |
Combined (used for scaling) | 139.72 | 34.77 |

Trend
Two points stand out. The 2024 combined mean of about 140 sits well above the 120-mark qualifying line, so clearing 40 percent alone does not place you ahead of most candidates. The shift means also ranged from about 129 to 148, which is why RSSB normalises scores across shifts.
What Affects Your Position
Paper difficulty: A harder shift lowers raw scores, and normalisation adjusts for it.
Main exam competition: Selection depends on the main exam for each post, where vacancies and applicant numbers vary widely.
Score validity: Scores are now valid for three years, so you may compete with candidates holding scores from several cycles.
Retakes: There is no attempt limit, and many candidates retake the CET to improve their best score.
How to Set Your Target
Cut-offs and score levels change every cycle with difficulty, vacancies and the number of candidates. Aim for a clear margin above the qualifying line rather than a bare pass.
Minimum: Plan for at least 150 out of 300 in practice papers, which is about 30 marks above the qualifying line.
Comfort zone: Scoring above the 2024 combined mean of about 140 means you are performing better than a typical candidate.
Accuracy: Track accuracy in every mock. With one-third negative marking, 85 percent or more accuracy on attempted questions protects your score.
No blanks: Practise marking option E so that no question is left with an empty bubble.
