RBI Grade A Cut Off 2026: Category-Wise Marks
RBI Grade A cut-off marks are published by the Reserve Bank of India Services Board on the score card of each post, together with the maximum marks for every stage. The latest figures are for Panel Year 2026 (Advt. No. RBISB/DA/05/2025-26), declared on 1 July 2026. They cover the two Grade A posts, Assistant Manager (Rajbhasha) and Assistant Manager (Protocol & Security), and show sectional, written and final cut-offs by category.
Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

The numbers are shown as published. They do not rise in a neat order from General to reserved categories, because RBI sets cut-offs for each category and each stage separately, and there were only one to four vacancies per category. What Affects the Cut-Off
Number of vacancies: Panel Year 2026 had only 12 Grade A vacancies, so every mark mattered.
Paper difficulty: A harder paper lowers the scores of most candidates and the cut-off with it.
Interview marks: The final cut-off includes 35 interview marks, so the written score alone does not decide selection.
Tie-break rule: If candidates have equal marks, the older candidate is ranked higher.
How to Set Your Target
For the General category, the Panel Year 2026 final cut-off was about 74 per cent of the total for Rajbhasha (174.25 out of 235) and about 57.5 per cent for Protocol & Security (135.13 out of 235). A practical target is to clear the sectional minimum in every test with a comfortable margin, and then score well above the written-stage cut-off, so that a modest interview does not undo your effort.
