RPSC 1st Grade Cut-Off 2026: Subject-Wise Marks

The RPSC 1st Grade cut-off is the lowest total marks, out of 450, at which candidates in a subject and category were shortlisted. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission releases it subject-wise and category-wise with each result, and it applies only to candidates who have already cleared the 40% minimum in both papers. There is no sectional cut-off beyond that minimum.

This page sets out the provisional cut-offs reported for the 2025 cycle, earlier figures for comparison, and how to turn them into a target score. All figures here are indicative: they come from published results as reported, and the official result PDFs on the RPSC website are the final source.

Cut-off trend

The 2025 provisional cut-offs reported so far sit well below the earlier figures in every subject compared. A larger number of posts per subject and a tougher paper both push cut-offs down, while fewer posts and an easier paper push them up. Subjects with very few posts, such as Mathematics or Economics in 2025, can swing sharply from one cycle to the next.

What affects the RPSC 1st Grade cut-off

  • Vacancies in your subject: subject-wise posts change every cycle and were revised during the 2025 cycle.

  • Paper difficulty: a harder Paper II lowers totals across the board.

  • Number of qualified candidates: the 40% minimum in each paper removes many candidates before the cut-off is set.

  • Category and sub-category: women, persons with disabilities and ex-servicemen have separate lists.

How to set your target

Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass. A practical target for General category candidates is 20 to 30 marks above the higher of the last two cut-offs in your subject, with at least 60 in Paper I and 120 in Paper II as a non-negotiable floor.

Official result and cut-off PDFs are on the RPSC results page.
