RPSC RAS Cut-off: Previous Year Prelims and Mains Cut-off Marks

The RPSC RAS cut-off is the minimum score a candidate needs to move to the next stage of the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Exam. RPSC releases separate cut-offs for the Prelims and the Mains with each result, by category, gender and area (Non-TSP and TSP). Cut-offs for the 2026 cycle will come out only after the Prelims on 6 December 2026, so the figures below come from earlier cycles.

Use these previous cut-offs as a benchmark to set your target score, not as a promise of what this cycle will need.

These figures are indicative. They are compiled from RPSC result notices as reported by public reference sources, and we could not open the original RPSC PDFs to confirm each value. Female, TSP, ex-servicemen and other sub-category cut-offs are different, so check the official result notice for your exact category.

What Affects the RAS Cut-off

  • Paper difficulty: A tougher paper with heavy negative marking lowers the cut-off, as the 2024 figures show.

  • Number of vacancies: RPSC calls about 15 times the vacancies to the Mains, so fewer posts usually means a higher cut-off.

  • Number of candidates: More serious candidates push the cut-off up.

  • Category and area: Each category, gender and TSP or Non-TSP group has its own cut-off.

How to Set Your Target Score

Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of candidates. Treat last year's figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

  • Prelims target: Many candidates aim 10 to 15 marks above the highest recent cut-off for their category. Score in mock tests after negative marking, not before.

  • Accuracy over attempts: With a one-third penalty, 110 questions at 85 percent accuracy usually beats 140 at 65 percent.

  • Track your trend: Record your net score in every full-length test and watch whether it stays above your target.

RPSC publishes each official cut-off with the result notice on the RPSC official website.
