Scoring & Assessment

Cut-off

The minimum score a candidate needs to qualify for the next stage of an exam.

What is a cut-off?

A cut-off is the score that separates qualified candidates from the rest. It can differ by category, subject and exam stage.

Cut-offs usually depend on the number of seats, the difficulty of the paper and how candidates performed overall, so they can change from year to year.
