BITSAT Cut-off: Campus and Branch-wise Scores for Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad

The BITSAT cut-off is the lowest BITSAT score at which a seat in a programme was offered at a campus, after the admission iterations for that year. BITS Pilani publishes these scores for each programme at Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad. There is no category-wise cut-off because BITS has no reservation. Scores are out of 390.

This page lists the campus and branch-wise BITSAT cut-off scores for 2026, 2025 and 2024, as reported from the lists BITS released after each admission cycle. The BITSAT 2027 cut-off will only be known after the 2027 admission iterations end. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty and the number of applicants, so treat these figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

"Not offered" means the programme was not listed for that campus in that year's cut-off list. Figures for 2026 are from the list BITS released in September 2026; figures for 2025 and 2024 are as widely reported from the BITS lists for those years. Verify against the official BITS admissions website before making decisions.

BITSAT Cut-off Trend

  • 2024 was a high year: For every B.E. and M.Sc. programme listed in all three years, the 2024 cut-off was the highest of the three, with Pilani Computer Science at 327. B.Pharm is the exception.

  • 2025 dropped sharply: Most B.E. and M.Sc. programmes fell by about 20 to 40 marks in 2025. Pilani Computer Science fell to 304 and Pilani Chemical to 210.

  • 2026 rose again: Almost every programme went up in 2026, from a few marks in the top branches to 15 marks or more in core and science programmes. Pilani Computer Science rose to 308, while Goa Computer Science stayed at 274.

  • Campus gap: Pilani Computer Science closed 26 to 36 marks above Goa and Hyderabad over these three years. Goa and Hyderabad are usually within a few marks of each other.

  • B.Pharm jumped in 2026: B.Pharm rose to 200 at both Pilani and Hyderabad, up from 168 and 151 in 2025, and well above its 2024 level.

What Affects the BITSAT Cut-off

  • Paper difficulty: A tougher paper lowers scores across the board, which pulls cut-offs down.

  • Number of applicants and seats: More high-scoring candidates competing for the same seats pushes the closing score up.

  • Branch and campus demand: Computer Science, Mathematics and Computing, and Electronics programmes close highest at every campus.

  • Iterations: Scores move across admission iterations as students accept, upgrade or withdraw. The final cut-off reflects the last iteration.

  • Ties: When more candidates share a score than the seats available, PCM marks decide who gets the seat.

How to Set Your BITSAT 2027 Target Score

  1. Pick your target programme and campus: Use the highest of the last three years as your safe benchmark, not the lowest.

  2. Add a margin: Aim for 15 to 20 marks above the recent cut-off to allow for a harder or easier year. For Pilani Computer Science, that means planning for a score above 320.

  3. Convert the score into attempts: Each correct answer is 3 marks and each wrong answer costs 1. A score of 300 needs, for example, 105 correct and 15 wrong answers.

  4. Track it in mocks: Check your full-length mock scores against your target every week, and focus revision on the part where you lose the most marks.

Official cut-off lists and admission notices are published on the BITS admissions website.
