CRPF Constable Tradesman Cut Off 2026: Qualifying Marks and Target Score

The CRPF Constable Tradesman cut off has two layers. The first is the minimum qualifying percentage in the CBT, which CRPF states in its notice. The second is the merit cut-off for each state or UT, which depends on how many candidates apply and score well. This page separates the two so that you know what is official and what is not. It covers the Technical and Tradesmen and Pioneer posts from the notice dated 8 April 2026.

These are the minimum marks to move to the next stage, not the marks needed for selection. The trade test is also qualifying, with at least 20 out of 50 marks required.

Previous-year merit cut-off: what is available

Final merit cut-offs by state and category were not verified from an official CRPF publication for this page, and no 2026 cut-off had been confirmed at the time of writing. Third-party sites often publish "expected" or "previous" figures, but these are not official, so this page does not list any. When CRPF releases a result or cut-off notice, it appears on the official recruitment website.

What affects the cut-off

  • State-wise vacancies: vacancies are filled state and UT wise, so competition differs between regions.

  • Number of applicants who reach the CBT: many candidates drop out at the physical stages, which changes the pool.

  • Paper difficulty: marks are normalised before merit lists are prepared, as the notice states.

  • Trade: seats and competition differ from one trade to another.

How to set your target score

Cut-offs change every cycle with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat the qualifying marks above as the floor, not the goal, and aim for a clear margin above them.

  • Aim for a comfortable margin in mock tests: a score well above the qualifying marks, for example 60 or more out of 100, is a sensible working target. This is a planning benchmark, not an official figure.

  • Keep every section balanced: avoid a section that is far below the others, since each carries 25 marks.

  • Protect accuracy: each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks, so guess only after removing options.
