DSSSB TGT Cut Off 2026: Previous Year Marks and Trends

The DSSSB TGT cut off is the lowest score at which candidates in a post were shortlisted for e-dossier and document verification. The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) releases it post-wise with each result notice, out of 200 marks, so TGT Mathematics (Male) and TGT Mathematics (Female) get separate cut-offs.

This page separates the fixed minimum qualifying marks from the actual cut-off, lists previous cut-offs, explains why they vary so much between posts and shows how to set a target for the exams under Advertisements 06/2025 and 03/2026. No cut-off has been released yet for these two advertisements.

Minimum Qualifying Marks vs Cut-off

DSSSB applies its minimum qualifying marks only to Section B, the 100-mark subject section. Section A has no minimum, but marks from both sections are added for the merit list.

Clearing these marks only makes you eligible for merit. The real cut-off depends on vacancies and on how other candidates score, and it is usually much higher.

DSSSB has also released post-wise TGT results in 2026 for earlier advertisements. Each notice in the results section lists the category-wise cut-off for its post code, so check the latest one for your subject before setting a target.

What the Numbers Show

  • Your post code matters more than your subject: Female posts in English and Natural Science closed well above the male posts of the same subject.

  • Category order is not fixed: In TGT Computer Science, the SC cut-off was higher than the OBC cut-off. Do not assume a reserved category will always need fewer marks.

  • The spread is wide: UR cut-offs ran from about 80 to 124 out of 200, depending on the post.

What Affects the DSSSB TGT Cut-off

The main factors are the number of vacancies in each post code and category, the number of candidates, the difficulty of the Section B paper and score normalisation when an exam runs over several shifts. A large post such as TGT Computer Science under Advertisement 03/2026 can still have a high cut-off if many strong candidates apply.

How to Set Your Target Score

Cut-offs change every cycle with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat previous figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.

  • Set a margin: Aim 10 to 15 marks above the highest recent UR cut-off for your post in your mock scores.

  • Protect Section B: Falling below the Section B minimum removes you from merit, however strong your Section A is.

  • Track the trend, not one score: Compare your net score across several full-length mocks against your target.

Results are published on the official DSSSB website.
