IDBI JAM 2026–27: Cut-off

The IDBI JAM cut-off is a recruitment threshold, not a fixed pass mark that every candidate can use across zones and years. For regional Grade O 2026–27, the notice requires sectional and aggregate online-test qualifying scores and provides for zone-wise shortlisting. A number copied from a different route or an older cycle can therefore be misleading.

This page explains how to read a cut-off and set a practice target without presenting guesses as official results. No verified public category-wise numeric cut-off table was available in the official material checked for this guide. That limitation is stated openly; it does not mean the bank has no internal qualifying thresholds.

Do not substitute its figures for regional Grade O

A qualifying minimum, the lowest shortlisted score and the final selected candidate’s combined score answer different questions. Read the heading, denominator and stage before comparing numbers. A screenshot without the advertisement, zone and category is weak evidence even if the figure looks plausible.

Why the cut-off can vary

Vacancies, the performance of the eligible pool, paper difficulty and the bank’s shortlisting decisions can influence the required score. The regional notice makes zone and category relevant. These factors explain uncertainty; they do not justify inventing an expected number or promising that a particular mock score is safe.

Do not assume a normalisation formula unless the applicable official material specifies it. Likewise, a change in advertised vacancies is not a simple mathematical predictor of the next cut-off. Compare like-for-like data only, and record any difference in pattern or selection route before discussing a trend.

How to check the official position

  • Identify the recruitment: Use regional Grade O 2026–27 and the advertisement number when locating the result entry.

  • Read the stage: Distinguish online-test shortlisting from interview or final merit. Check whether the figure is sectional, aggregate or combined.

  • Match the context: Record the zone, category, maximum marks and any qualifying conditions.

  • Save the evidence: Keep the official notice or your own score record with the date. Do not turn another candidate’s private score into a universal cut-off.

Set a practice target you can actually use

Begin with your own section scores and errors. Aim to improve the weakest test while maintaining the others. Use a personal target as a planning tool, clearly separate from the bank’s qualifying score. If a reliable matching historical cut-off becomes available, treat it as a benchmark and allow a margin rather than aiming at the bare threshold.

For example, if your awareness mistakes repeatedly arise from confusing similar terms, revise paired definitions before taking another full mock. If quantitative accuracy is strong but attempts are low, work on selection and methods. Those actions are more useful than repeatedly searching for an unsupported “safe score”.

When suitable Testkart mocks are listed, compare your section-level progress over similar papers. A Testkart practice result can guide revision but does not represent IDBI’s zone-wise merit list. Keep interview preparation and document checks active after written-test practice improves.
