Indian Navy Agniveer Syllabus 2026: SSR and MR INET Topics

The Indian Navy Agniveer syllabus is built around the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET), a computer-based paper for the SSR and MR entries. SSR candidates face four sections at the 10+2 standard, while MR candidates face two sections at the 10th standard. The same pattern is repeated in the Stage II written exam, so one round of preparation serves both stages.

The Navy names the sections and the standard but does not publish a topic-wise syllabus. The topic lists below are built from the official notification and from the usual school-level content for each section. Use them as a working checklist, not as an official list. This page covers the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches.

Key points to know before you start

  • Pass every section: You must clear each section and the overall aggregate, so no section can be ignored.

  • Standards differ: SSR is set at the 10+2 level and MR at the 10th level, so do not use MR material for SSR.

  • Negative marking applies: Each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks, so revise for accuracy and not only coverage.

  • Medical Assistant entry: The SSR (Medical Assistant) entry reported for this cycle needs Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and its paper details are not confirmed here. Read its notification on the official portal.

Older pages may still show topic lists from earlier cycles, so follow the official notification for the final word.

Physical test and interview

The Physical Fitness Test is not a syllabus topic, but it is a mandatory and qualifying stage, so train for it alongside your studies. The notification does not describe a personal interview for the Agniveer SSR or MR entries. Stage II consists of the PFT, the written exam and the recruitment medical.

How to cover the syllabus

  1. Weeks 1 to 4, basics: Finish your core subject, Mathematics for most candidates, and begin a daily half hour of English or General Awareness reading.

  2. Weeks 5 to 8, Science and GK: Complete the Science chapters, start monthly current-affairs notes and begin topic-wise tests.

  3. Weeks 9 to 12, speed: Switch to sectional timed sets, and revise weak chapters using an error log.

  4. Final weeks, full mocks: Attempt full-length papers in the INET format, review each one on the same day and revise your wrong answers.
