Infosys Cut-off 2026: How Shortlisting Works

Infosys does not publish a fixed cut-off for its fresher online assessment. There is no official overall or sectional cut-off list for the Systems Engineer (SE) test, and no category-wise cut-off table like those in government exams. This page explains what Infosys does state, what candidates report, and how to set a safe target instead of chasing a single number.

Cut-offs here mean the score or performance level that gets you shortlisted for the next round. Because the figures that circulate online are mostly unofficial, we mark every number as official, reported or unverified.

What Candidates Report

The following figures are indicative only. They come from third-party guides that do not cite Infosys, and they may differ by drive.

  • Sectional shortlisting: Guides say each section of the SE test has its own bar, so a weak section can end your attempt even when the total looks good. One guide puts these bars between the 70th and 80th percentile, which we could not verify.

  • Coding tests for DSE: Guides report that solving roughly one to one and a half problems fully is a common shortlisting level.

  • Coding tests for SP: Guides report that solving two or more problems with correct output is the usual level.

This is not an official figure, and it varies by drive, role and year. Treat these as direction, not a promise.

What Affects Shortlisting

  • Difficulty of the set: Harder papers usually mean a lower bar, and easier ones a higher bar.

  • Number of applicants and openings: Both change by drive, and Infosys does not publish them for each cycle.

  • Section balance: Reports of sectional shortlisting make consistency across sections more useful than a single high score.

  • Code quality in coding rounds: HackWithInfy uses test cases passed and efficiency, so correct but slow code can score lower.

How to Set Your Target

Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat any figure as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above it rather than a bare pass.

  1. Use the official figure where it exists: For the Certification Round, aim for well above 65% in practice sets, because post-round checks also apply.

  2. Aim for balance in the SE test: Set a minimum accuracy for every section, not only a total score.

  3. Track accuracy and attempts: Note how many questions you attempt in each section and how many you get right in timed practice.

  4. Review every mock: Log wrong answers by topic and revisit them within a week. The section-wise analysis on Testkart makes this quicker.
