Infosys Eligibility Criteria 2026 for Freshers
Infosys eligibility for freshers is set drive by drive. Infosys does not publish one criteria sheet for all Systems Engineer (SE), Specialist Programmer (SP) and Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) hiring, so the rules that matter are the ones in your campus notice or off-campus application.
This page separates what Infosys states officially from what candidate guides report. The only complete official criteria we could confirm are for HackWithInfy 2026. Everything else is labelled as reported, and you should verify it on the Infosys careers portal before you apply.

Official criteria for HackWithInfy 2026
The official terms for the 2026 contest invite students in B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, Dual Degree, MS (Research), MCA or 5-year integrated M.Sc programmes who graduate in 2027. Participants must be 18 or older on the registration date and resident in India. Registration was free and went through the college placement officer. Read the official HackWithInfy 2026 terms for the full wording.
Reported criteria for SE, SP and DSE drives
Candidate guides commonly report full-time B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, MCA or M.Sc degrees, with computer science, IT and allied branches seeing the most openings. Some guides say other branches are also accepted in certain drives. Infosys does not confirm a branch list on the pages we could reach, so rely on your drive notice.
Academic Percentage and Backlogs
Reported cut-offs for academic marks are not consistent. Several guides state a minimum of 60% or 6.0 CGPA in Class 10, Class 12 and the degree, while at least one states 65% or 6.5 CGPA. Treat both as unconfirmed.
Backlogs: Guides report no active backlogs when you apply. Whether cleared backlogs are accepted is stated differently by different sources.
Education gap: Reported limits range from one to two years. Ask your placement cell, because it depends on the drive.
Rounding: Check whether your university's CGPA conversion is accepted before you apply. Do not assume rounding up is allowed.
Batch, Age and Nationality
The graduating batch is set by each drive. For example, HackWithInfy 2026 was for the 2027 batch, while other drives name their own batches. If your batch does not match the drive, guides report that your profile is likely to be screened out at the first step.
Infosys does not publish a general upper age limit on the pages we could reach. HackWithInfy sets a minimum age of 18 and requires Indian residence.
Who May Not Be Eligible
Batch mismatch: Your pass-out year is outside the batches named in the drive notice.
Active backlogs: Reported as a condition that must be met when you apply.
Marks below the drive's minimum: Campus drives may set a different bar from off-campus drives, so read your own notice.
Duplicate or fake credentials: The certification guidelines say using multiple exams with different or fake credentials invalidates your certification and offer.
Documents and Fees
Infosys states that it never asks job seekers for fees or deposits during or after hiring. Do not pay anyone for a slot, test link or offer. Use the official recruitment fraud alert to check whether a message is genuine. Keep your mark sheets, degree certificate and identity proof handy for any verification step your drive requires. Details of each stage are on the Infosys fresher hiring hub.
