Maharashtra SSC Study Notes 2027: Subject-wise Notes and Revision Plan

Build compact, board-focused Maharashtra SSC notes for every subject and use them for fast revision before the 2027 Class 10 exam.

Good Maharashtra SSC study notes turn six thick Balbharati textbooks into something you can revise in the final weeks. The Class 10 board exam has nine written papers spread over about three and a half weeks, so you need material you can go through quickly the night before each paper.

Notes are not a copy of the textbook. They hold the definitions, formulas, diagrams, dates and answer formats that board questions ask for, plus your own record of mistakes. This page explains what to include for each subject, how to organise notes and how to fit them into a revision schedule for the February to March 2027 exam.

What to Include, Subject by Subject

Subject

What your notes should hold

Algebra

Formulas for AP, quadratic roots and statistics; solved methods for each equation type; GST and shares calculation steps

Geometry

Every theorem with its proof outline and figure; construction steps; trigonometric identities and table; mensuration formulas

Science Part 1

Laws and formulas with units; balanced equations; ray diagrams; periodic table trends; key numericals

Science Part 2

Labelled diagrams; process flowcharts such as respiration and photosynthesis; classification charts; definitions

History and Political Science

Key terms, people and dates; short notes on each concept; constitutional provisions and institutions

Geography

India and Brazil comparison tables; map points; "give reasons" answers; graph-reading steps

Languages

Grammar rules with examples; writing-skill formats; poem appreciation points; useful vocabulary

How to Organise Your Notes

  • One page per chapter: Keep each chapter to a page or two so the full set stays revisable in the last month.

  • Formula and theorem sheets: Put all Maths and Science Part 1 formulas on a few sheets you can read in ten minutes.

  • Diagram bank: Draw the Science Part 2 and Geometry figures you need to reproduce, and redraw them weekly.

  • Comparison tables: Geography's India and Brazil chapters are easiest to revise side by side.

  • Error log: A separate notebook listing every mistake from tests, why it happened and the correct method. This is often the most valuable page in your notes.

  • Writing-skills folder: Keep one model letter, essay and report per language as a format reference.

Revision Schedule

  1. October to December: Write notes as you finish or revise each chapter. Read the week's notes every Sunday.

  2. January: Revise notes subject by subject while you practise part-wise papers. Add every new mistake to your error log.

  3. Two weeks before the exam: Read only notes, formula sheets and the error log. Do not start new material.

  4. Day before each paper: Go through that paper's notes and the related error log entries, then rest.

Because papers are on separate days, arrange your notes by board paper, not just by subject. Keep Algebra and Geometry in separate sections, and Science Part 1 and Part 2 in separate sections.

Reliable Sources for Notes

Build your notes from the Balbharati textbooks first, since board questions follow them closely. Add points from your teachers' class notes and from previous year board papers. For the timetable, circulars and official notices, use the Maharashtra State Board website.

Where Notes Fit With Practice

Notes help you remember; tests show whether you can use what you remember under time pressure. The two work best together. After each test, update your notes with what you got wrong, and before each test, read the relevant notes once.
