MHT CET Pharmacy Cut Off 2026: B.Pharm CAP Trends
MHT CET does not have a single qualifying cut-off for pharmacy. To be eligible, you only need to appear in all subjects and obtain a non-zero score. The MHT CET pharmacy cut-off that matters is the closing point at which each B.Pharm or Pharm.D seat fills during the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), run by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
These closing figures differ by college, category, seat type and CAP round. This page explains how to read the official lists, shows real CAP Round I figures from two government pharmacy colleges for 2025-26 and 2026-27, and helps you set a score target. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants, so treat past figures as a benchmark only.
How to Read the Official Cut-Off List
The CET Cell publishes B.Pharm and Pharm.D cut-off lists after each CAP round. Each cell shows two figures: the State General Merit Number of the last candidate admitted, followed by that candidate's merit score in brackets. For example, "1351 (97.0185605)" means the seat closed at merit number 1351 with a merit score of 97.0185605.
The category codes look confusing at first, but they follow a simple pattern.
Part of the code | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
First letter | G = General seat; L = Ladies seat | GOPEN, LOPEN |
Middle part | Category: OPEN, OBC, SC, ST, SEBC, NT and so on | GOBC, GSC |
Last letter | H = Home University; O = Other than Home University; S = State Level | GOPENH, GOPENO, GOPENS |
Special seats | EWS, PWDR (disability) and DEFR (defence) are listed separately | EWS |
So GOPENH is a general open-category seat for candidates from the college's Home University area, and GOPENO is the same seat type for candidates from outside that area.

MHT CET Pharmacy Cut-Off Trend
Three patterns stand out from the official figures.
Open-category scores rose: At both colleges, GOPENH and GOPENO closed higher in 2026-27 than in 2025-26, by roughly 0.5 to 1.5 points.
Outside-area seats close higher: GOPENO closed above GOPENH at both colleges in both years. If you are applying from outside a college's Home University area, plan for a stronger score.
Reserved categories move unevenly: The ST seat at Aurangabad jumped from about 52.82 to 70.37, while the SC seat at Amravati fell. Small seat counts make these categories swing sharply from year to year.
How Cut-Offs Change Across CAP Rounds
B.Pharm admission runs over several CAP rounds. The 2025-26 cycle had four rounds, and the 2026-27 cycle had reached Round III option forms by early October 2026. After each round, some allotted candidates do not confirm their seats, and those vacancies move into the next round.
This means a college you missed in Round I can still open up later at a lower score. Fill your option form with a realistic mix of colleges in every round, and check the provisional vacancy list the CET Cell publishes before each new round.
What Affects the Cut-Off
Paper difficulty: Normalisation converts marks to percentiles within each session, but overall competition still shapes where seats close.
Number of candidates: 2,63,213 candidates appeared in the PCB first attempt of 2026, according to the CET Cell. A large pool pushes top college cut-offs up.
Seats and seat type: Colleges with fewer seats in a category, or Other than Home University seats, tend to close higher.
Two attempts: Since 2026, candidates can improve their percentile in a second attempt, which can tighten competition at the top.
College demand: Government colleges with lower fees attract high scorers first, so they usually close above most private colleges.
How to Set Your Target Score
Use past cut-offs as a floor, not a goal. Aim for a clear margin above the last closing figure for your preferred college and category, because a small rise in competition can move a seat out of reach.
Shortlist colleges: Pick five to eight colleges and note their last two years of Round I and later-round cut-offs for your category and seat type.
Set a percentile target: Add a buffer of about 1 to 2 percentile points above the highest recent figure for your top choice.
Translate it into marks: Percentiles depend on your session, so track your mock rank among other test-takers rather than relying on a fixed raw score.
Protect your Biology score: Biology carries 100 of the 200 marks, so it is where most percentile gains come from. Chapter-wise Biology tests on Testkart can help you find weak chapters early.
All round-wise lists for the current and previous three years are available on the official B.Pharm and Pharm.D admission portal. The CET Cell website also offers a Cutoff Explorer for checking past closing figures.
