MP Police SI Syllabus 2026: Prelims and Mains Guide
The MP Police SI syllabus covers two written stages set by the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB): a 100-mark qualifying prelims and a mains of two 300-mark General Studies papers. Technical posts such as SI (Arms) and SI (Finger Print) also take a 300-mark technical paper. This guide follows the 2026 cycle for 507 Subedar and Sub Inspector posts.
The rulebook lists subjects and broad topics rather than a detailed chapter list for every paper. The topic lists below are built from the 2026 rulebook outline and from questions asked in previous years. Use them as a working checklist, not as an official list, and confirm details against the rulebook before you finalise a plan.

Key Changes to Know
Two written stages: The exam now has a qualifying prelims followed by a mains. Older pages may still show a single written test, so follow the 2026 rulebook.
Prelims is broad but shallow: Ten subjects are tested at a basic level, with roughly 10 questions each as reported.
Mains is General Studies heavy: Indian society, governance, internal security and data interpretation carry most of the 600 marks.
Technical streams add a paper: Arms and the three PCM-based posts sit an extra 300-mark subject paper.
