MPPSC Forest Service Eligibility 2026: Age, Degree and Physical Standards
MPPSC Forest Service eligibility depends on the post you apply for. Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and Forest Ranger have different age limits and training requirements, and both require candidates to meet physical standards.
The details below follow the 2025-26 cycle (Advertisement No. 30/2025, age counted as on 1 January 2026), compiled from reports of the notification. The official site could not be opened for direct checking while this page was prepared, so confirm each rule on the official MPPSC website before you apply in a future cycle.

Educational qualification
The base requirement is a bachelor's degree in science, engineering or technology from a recognised university. Reports mention subjects such as physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, mathematics, statistics, geology, agriculture, environmental science, forestry and veterinary science, but the subject list is not consistent across sources, so check the exact clause.
Result deadline: The qualification was required by the last date of application (9 February 2026 in the last cycle).
Forestry training: The notification refers to a training course at Forest College, Dehradun, or an equivalent institution, plus a departmental examination. Reports give different training periods for ACF and Ranger, so read the post-wise clause.
Age limit and relaxation
Post | Minimum age | Maximum age |
|---|---|---|
ACF | 21 years | 40 years |
Forest Ranger | 21 years | 33 years |
Relaxation follows the appendix to the notification and state rules. Reports indicate five years for women, SC and ST candidates of Madhya Pradesh, and OBC candidates of Madhya Pradesh on ACF posts, and three years for ex-servicemen. This is indicative and should be verified.
Domicile and reservation
Reservation benefits apply to Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates in the SC, ST and OBC categories. Candidates from other states generally apply as unreserved. Forest Ranger posts in the last cycle were reported as reserved for MP domicile SC and ST candidates only.
