MPPSC Forest Service Syllabus 2026: Prelims and Mains
The MPPSC Forest Service syllabus covers two stages of written testing: a Prelims with General Studies and a General Aptitude Test, and an objective Mains paper that combines General Knowledge with Forestry and General Science. Knowing which topics belong to which stage helps you avoid studying the same area twice.
The Commission publishes the syllabus as part of the notification, in a brief unit-wise form rather than a detailed topic list. The tables below follow that unit structure and add working topic checklists, so use them as a guide and confirm the final wording on the official MPPSC website.

Key points to know
Forestry is the Mains differentiator: Part B holds the larger share of Mains marks, so forestry units deserve the most study hours.
Madhya Pradesh runs through every paper: History, culture, geography, economy, tribes and forest cover of the state appear in Prelims, Part A and Part B.
The Prelims CSAT paper has a pass mark: Weak aptitude can stop you before Mains, so give it daily practice.
Older syllabus pages may differ: Some websites still show earlier versions, so follow the official notification.
