MPSC Rajyaseva Cut Off: Prelims 2022 to 2026 Category-Wise
The MPSC Rajyaseva cut off is the minimum score you need at each stage to move forward. For the Prelims, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission publishes category-wise cut-offs with the result. Since CSAT is only qualifying at 33%, the Prelims cut-off is applied to your Paper I (General Studies) marks out of 200. MPSC also publishes Mains and final cut-offs after those stages.
The figures below are previous years' Prelims cut-offs as widely reported from MPSC's result notices. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat them as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass. Check the official result PDF on the Commission's website for the exact figures and sub-categories.

Years refer to the Prelims cycle. The 2025 Prelims was held on 9 November 2025 and its result came out on 27 February 2026. Separate cut-offs exist for sportspersons, persons with disabilities and orphans; see the official result PDF for those.
Trend
The Open cut-off stayed between about 106 and 118 out of 200 from 2022 to 2025, then dropped to 98 in 2026. A drop of that size usually points to a tougher GS paper, but MPSC does not publish reasons. Several backward-class cut-offs often match the Open cut-off, because many candidates from those categories qualify on Open merit.
What affects the MPSC cut-off
Paper difficulty: A tougher GS paper lowers the cut-off, as 2026 suggests.
Posts: More posts usually mean more candidates are shortlisted for the Mains, which can pull the cut-off down.
Applicants: A larger or better-prepared field pushes the cut-off up.
Category and sub-category: Female, sports, disability and orphan reservations have their own cut-offs.
Mains and final cut-off
Under the descriptive pattern, the Mains cut-off is counted on merit papers out of 1,750, and the final merit out of 2,025 after the interview for the 2026 cycle. Because the descriptive Mains is new and the 2025 Mains answer sheets are being re-evaluated, there is no stable descriptive-era trend yet. Older Mains cut-offs from the objective pattern are not comparable.
How to set your target
GS target: Aim for 120 or more out of 200 in mocks before the exam. That covers every Open cut-off reported from 2022 to 2026 with some margin.
CSAT safety: Keep CSAT mock scores well above 66 out of 200 so the qualifying paper never decides your result.
Accuracy: With 0.5 marks lost per wrong GS answer, track your accuracy as closely as your score.
