NCHMCT JEE Study Notes: Section-wise Revision Guide

Section-wise NCHMCT JEE study notes for quick revision of English, reasoning, maths, GK and service aptitude.

Good NCHMCT JEE study notes are short, organised by section and built for quick revision. The exam tests five areas in 120 questions, and much of it, especially English vocabulary, GK and service sector terms, depends on recall that fades without regular review.

This page explains what to put in your notes for each section, how to organise them and how to revise them in the weeks before the exam.

What to Include in Your Notes

Section

What your notes should hold

English Language

Grammar rules with one example each, a running vocabulary list, idioms and phrasal verbs, commonly confused words

Aptitude for Service Sector

Hotel departments and their roles, common hotel and travel terms, etiquette points, lessons from situation questions you got wrong

General Knowledge and Current Affairs

Monthly current affairs summaries, static GK lists, tourism and culture facts

Reasoning and Logical Deduction

Methods for each question type, such as coding patterns, direction diagrams and syllogism rules

Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude

Shortcuts written in words, percentage and fraction equivalents, solved examples of tricky types

How to Organise NCHMCT JEE Notes

  • One notebook or file per section: This makes it easy to revise the high-weight sections more often.

  • Short notes, not textbooks: Write keywords and examples, not full paragraphs. A page should be readable in two minutes.

  • Error log: A separate list of mistakes from mocks and practice, sorted by section, with the correct reasoning.

  • Monthly current affairs sheet: One or two pages per month, revised in the final weeks.

  • Hospitality glossary: A running list of hotel, food and travel terms, useful in both GK and the service sector section.

Revision Schedule

  1. Daily: Ten minutes on vocabulary and the latest current affairs.

  2. Weekly: Read the full error log and one section's notes in rotation.

  3. Last month: Revise all notes twice, giving English and service sector notes extra rounds.

  4. Last week: Only the error log, current affairs sheets and the hospitality glossary.

Where Notes Fit with Mock Tests

Notes and mocks work together. A mock shows what you forgot; your notes are where you fix it. After each mock, add new mistakes to the error log and update the relevant section notes the same day.
