RRB Section Controller Mock Test 2026
Practise RRB Section Controller mock tests in the latest CBT pattern with section-wise analysis.
RRB Section Controller mock tests help you practise a paper where accuracy decides the CBAT call. The CBT under CEN No. 03/2026 has 100 questions in 120 minutes, with one-third of a mark deducted per wrong answer. In the previous cycle, UR cut-offs in many RRBs were above 90 out of 100. Mocks are where you learn to score high without careless errors.
This page explains which tests to take, when to take them, and how to analyse each one so your score keeps moving up.
Types of RRB Section Controller Tests
Test type | What it covers | When to take it |
|---|---|---|
Topic tests | One topic, such as percentages, syllogism or coding-decoding | Right after you finish a topic |
Sectional tests | One full section: Analytical and Mathematical, Logical or Mental Reasoning | Once a section's topics are covered |
Data analysis sets | Tables, charts, Venn diagrams and data sufficiency | Two to three times a week throughout |
Full-length mocks | 100 questions in 120 minutes in the current pattern | Weekly at first, then two to three a week before the exam |
Previous year papers | Real questions from the previous cycle | Early to judge the level, and again near the exam |
Practise in the Current Pattern
Make sure every full-length mock matches CEN 03/2026: about 60 questions on Analytical and Mathematical Capability, 20 on Logical Capability (including reading comprehension) and 20 on Mental Reasoning. The section split is indicative. A mock with a general awareness section does not reflect this notification.
How to Use Mock Tests
Foundation phase: Topic tests after each chapter, two to four a week, with no strict timer at first.
Building phase: Sectional tests under time, three a week, plus one full-length mock every week.
Final phase: Two to three full-length mocks a week at the same time as your exam shift, with analysis the same day.
How to Analyse a Mock
Wrong answers: Sort each one into concept gap, calculation slip or misread question, and fix the cause.
Slow questions: Note any question that took more than two minutes and find a faster method.
Skipped but solvable: Re-solve skipped questions without a timer. If you can solve them, your problem is selection, not knowledge.
Error log: Record every mistake in one place and revise it before the next mock.
Benchmarks to Track
Accuracy: Aim for 90% or higher, because negative marking and high cut-offs punish errors.
Attempts: Track how many questions you attempt and how many of them are correct.
Sectional scores: Watch the Analytical and Mathematical section closely, because it carries most of the marks.
Time per section: Note where your 120 minutes go and cut time from your slowest area.
Common Mistakes
Taking mocks without analysis: A mock you do not review teaches very little.
Blind guessing: Three wrong guesses cancel one correct answer.
Ignoring reading comprehension: It sits inside Logical Capability and is easy to under-practise.
Forgetting the CBAT: Once the CBT is done, switch quickly to aptitude-style practice for the CBAT.
You can attempt RRB Section Controller online tests on Testkart in the current pattern and use the section-wise analysis to plan your revision. Pair them with previous year papers to understand the real difficulty level. . The official pattern is in the CEN 03/2026 notification.
