TCS NQT Study Notes: What to Include and How to Revise
TCS NQT study notes with formulas, shortcuts and revision material for aptitude, English and coding.
Good TCS NQT study notes are short, organised by section and built for quick revision. Since the test is timed, your notes should help you recall methods fast, not replace practice.
What to include
Section | What to note down |
|---|---|
Numerical ability | Formulas, shortcuts and worked examples for percentages, ratios, time and work, and data interpretation |
Reasoning ability | Patterns for series, steps for arrangements and rules for syllogisms |
Verbal ability | Grammar rules, common errors and a running vocabulary list |
Coding (IT variant) | Syntax snippets, standard algorithms and edge cases |
How to organise your notes
Formula sheet: One page per section that you can read in ten minutes.
Error log: Write each mistake, the reason and the correct method, then revisit it weekly.
Vocabulary list: Ten new words a day with a sample sentence.
Revision schedule
Daily: Spend 15 minutes on your formula sheet and vocabulary.
Weekly: Redo the questions in your error log.
Last week: Revise only short notes and attempt timed mocks.
Reliable sources
Base your notes on the section areas listed on the official TCS iON NQT page and on school-level maths and grammar books.
